Min delay

A wet-ashing procedure for analysis of fatty animal tissue was modified by using Teflon-lined bombs rated for use at 340 bar instead of open crucibles. Bombs cooled to well below 0°C were charged with fuming nitric and fuming sulfuric acids (1 ml of each) and adipose tissue (0.5 g), removed from the cooling bath and sealed. After 10 min delay, the bombs exploded, probably owing to development of... [Pg.1582]

In field use, the camera system was suspended from a large float and allowed to drift freely. An initial 30-min delay in the timing circuit provided time for deployment of the apparatus before the first exposure, and permitted the movement of the ship downwind at least 0.5 km. Following the delay, photographs were made at 30-sec intervals until the entire roll of film was exposed. Following development, bubble images on the film were measured directly by microscope with the aid of an ocular micrometer (ref. 33). [Pg.29]

Time of Examination. Hepatobiliary scintigraphy is started 5 min after the intravenous injection. Thereafter, scintigrams are taken at 10-min intervals up to 60 min. If the gallbladder is not visualized within 60 min, delayed images up to 4 h after administration of the radiotracer are obtained. [Pg.316]

In a retrospective study including 46 patients with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer, Takamura et al. evaluated the significance of [ Tc]MIBI uptake in early and delayed images in predicting tumor response to chemotherapy with epirubicin and cyclophosphamide or docetaxel [87]. Before starting chemotherapy, the patients underwent a [ Tc]MIBI SPECT study. The parameters extracted from SPECT images were the tumor-to-nor-mal tissue ratios (T/N) of [ Tc]MIBI uptake at 10 min (early phase) and at 180 min (delayed phase) and the retention index (RI) was calculated as follows RI = (T/N(d))/(T/N(e)). After chemotherapy, tumor response was determined by clinical examination. [Pg.617]

Different in design but based on the same principle are the Fuzes AN-M132, 133, and 134, all of nominally 16-min delay time (6-80 min range between 120 F and 10 F). [Pg.211]

Discharge temperature of this third load piece is only 2000 F (1093 C)—too cold to roll. Note that the furnace temperature at the charging entrance has cooled from 1360 F (738 C) in figure 6.30 to 920 F (493 C) and furnace temperature at the entrance to the heat zone has dropped from 2140 F (1171 C) in figure 6.30 to 1450 F (788 C) in this figure 6.32.
