Management overview

Character refers to the moral or ethical structure of an individual or group. 

Belief refers to the mental act or habit of placing trust in someone or something. Value refers to an individual s perception of worth or importance assigned to something. Culture reflects the socially accepted behaviors, beliefs, and traditions of a group. Attitude refers to an individual s personal state of mind or feeling about something. People can perform a job or task and hide their attitude from others. 

Behavior relates to an open manifestation of a person s actions in a given situation. 

Keep work areas safe from risks and hazards Emphasize the importance of safe behaviors Educate employees regarding safety performance Communicate clearly the organization s safety goals and objectives 

Make safety part of every job or task Promote a total safety culture

A brief system description covering the system s history (whether it is an entirely new system, a replacement system, or an existing system) and its business purpose is necessary. GxP regulatory authorities expect replacement systems to be as least as reliable as their predecessor manual or automatic system. The aim is to provide a management overview of the project boundaries, defining what is and what is not included within the scope of work. The system description may be supplemented later by a separate System Overview document, especially for larger systems (see Chapter 8).

The principal measures of process capability are statistical. Even those that don t work with them frequently have probably heard the terms. Common performance measures include P, Pj,y C, Cj,y first-time capability (FTC), line speed, and defective parts per million (ppm). In a discussion of supply chains, these should be understood at least at a basic level. They are fast becoming widespread terminology in discussions between supply chain partners. Here, we ll provide a "management overview" of common process capability terms and address their importance in supply chain management. 

Trend analysis - this can be achieved in a number of ways. As a minimum a paper-based system can be used where the workforce is smaii and adverse events are few. it is normai for SMEs and iarger organisations to employ an electronic system for recording the necessary data. Whichever system is used it must be able to provide a management overview of the event experience and enable an analysis of event trends.
