Whitman s poem suggests that certain objects become important to us and remain important to us even if we no longer have them. Write a story in which you tell about an object that remains important to the main character over a period of years. The main character could be you or someone you know. 

In your story, describe the main character s first encounter with the object, why the object is so important to the character, and how, over the years, it remains a part of the character s life. 

In essence, the earlier components of this overall assessment process are mainly deterministic in character (albeit with some probabilistic elements), whereas the later stages are mainly probabilistic. Not all elements of the process are quantifiable (with any degree of confidence), however and the socicii-political-cultural context of any downstream decision-making process may be intensely uncertain. Such uncertainties make the process of risk communication and debate a complex and sometimes unpredictable undertaking. It is essential therefore that those elements of the risk management process that cein be objectively einalysed and evaluated (either qualitatively or quantitatively, as appropriate) are so assessed. 

However, as soon as we come to the main object of Gibbs s book, i.e., to the nonstationary ensembles, we meet with rather sketchy arguments. The reason for this is that only here do we have to begin to take into account the dynamical character of the statistical ensemble in question.

The main objective of this work consists in the synthesis of monoglycerides from glycerol and fatty acids issued from vegetable oils in the presence of solid catalysts. Indeed, the use of natural feedstocks presents several advantages i) the diversity of the available products, ii) the renewable character of natural compounds. Moreover, in the chemical industry, the use of natural products opens an area of investigation of new processes and of new products some of which are quite different from those accessible by petrochemical paths.
