Specific titles within each of the operating phases can be determined using a job task analysis in concert with the technology package and process safety information. Appendix D, ISD Model and Job Task Analysis Techniques, provides basic guidance in this useful method. 

An example of procedures found by performing a job task analysis would be rework procedures. Occasionally, out of specification product is produced which can be reworked in the process. This subcategoiy of normal operations phase procedures may require special consideration. While rework can be a straightforward operation, it could have safety consequences if done improperly. 

The analysis phase of the instructional systems design (ISD) model, as referred to in Chapter 4, consists of a job task analysis based upon the equipment, operations, tools, and materials to be used as well as the knowledge and skills required for each position. The job safety analysis (JSA) has been a part of the industrial and occupational safety effort for many years. It is basically a method of developing job procedures that includes a systematic task analysis that examines each step of a job or task, the possible hazards associated with each step, and preventive or corrective actions required to ensure a safe operation. The technique may be appropriate to include in a life cycle system safety effort but has not traditionally been considered a system safety analysis. The JSA may be referred to as a job hazard analysis or job task analysis, even though some make distinctions between the approaches.

The terms job hazard analysis QHA) and job safety analysis (JSA) are used somewhat interchangeably. A variety of other terminology such as job task analysis (JTA), activity task analysis (ATA), and others are used depending on the industry and organization. 

In addition to basic and mandated restart training requirements, each Division Director is permitted to specify enhancements based upon unique job responsibilities.
