Itching hives

Anxiety restlessness, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, seizures (convulsions), skin rash, itching (hives), slow irregular heartbeat (palpitations), swelling of the face or mouth, tremors, QT prolongation, PRprolongation, atrial fibrillation, sinus...

Notify the primary health care provider immediately if any one or more of the following occurs vomiting, skin rash, hives (urticaria), severe diarrhea, vaginal or anal itching, sores in the mouth, swelling around the mouth or eyes, breathing difficully... 

The nurse must continually assess the patient for anaphylactic reactions (difficulty breathing, wheezing, fever, swelling around the eyes, hives, or itching) particularly with anistreplase or streptokinase Resuscitation equipment is immediately available... 

Bone marrow depression, anemia, blood dyscrasias, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, itching, rash, hives, tenderness and swelling of the neck, sore throat, and cough... 

At that point I got very sick again. Some of the symptoms were the same, many of them were different. My major problem at that point was hives, or eczema, I developed over virtually my entire body, with intense itching that wouldn t stop. I couldn t sleep. I couldn t eat. We had put all of our money into that house. I was a mess. I knew no one there.

Sulfite sensitivity may occur in susceptible patients, manifested by cramping, headache, diarrhea, fever, rash, hives, itching, and wheezing. Discontinue drug immediately. 

Notify the physician if bleeding at affected area, hoarseness, hives, rash, severe itching, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or swelling of the face, throat, lips, eyes, hands, feet, or ankles occurs... 

Lower back or side pain, rash, hives, itching, dizziness, flushed face, frequent urge to urinate, gingivitis... 

Dry mouth, backache, diarrhea, dizziness, somnolence, nausea, indigestion, rash, hives, itching, abdominal discomfort...

One of the primary problems with penicillin drugs is the potential for allergic reactions.65 Hypersensitivity to penicillin is exhibited by skin rashes, hives, itching, and difficult breathing. In some individuals, these reactions may be minor and can often be resolved by changing the type of penicillin or the method of administration. In others, however, penicillin hypersensitivity may be severe and lead to an anaphylactic reaction (severe bronchoconstriction and cardiovascular collapse). 

Urticaria, commonly known as hives, is a type I allergic reaction that results very rapidly from exposure to a toxicant to which the subject has become sensitized. It is characterized by the release of histamine from a type of white blood cell. Histamine causes many of the symptoms of allergic reaction, including tissue edema. In addition to edema, erythema, and accompanying raised welts on skin, urticaria is accompanied by severe itching. In severe cases, such as happen in some people as the result of bee or wasp stings, urticaria can result in systemic anaphylaxis, a potentially fatal allergic reaction. 

Urticaria, also known as hives, involves the outer dermis and is characterized by wheals and itching.The diagnosis is critical because acute asthma and anaphylaxis can occnr. Angioedema is similar to nrticaria bnt differs in that the deeper layers of the skin, the deep dermis or snbcntaneous areas, are involved. Angioedema is present with nrticaria in 40% of patients and without urticaria in 20% urticaria presents alone in 40%. 

Scombroid fish poisoning, associated with facial flushing, hives, and general itching, is caused by the ingestion of inadequately refrigerated fish, typically mahimahi (pictured) and tuna. Bacteria convert the amino acid histidine (Chapter 28) to histamine, which, when consumed in large amounts, results in this clinical syndrome. 

Selamectin may cause irritation to the skin and eyes. Reactions such as hives, itching, and skin redness have been observed in rare instances. Selamectin has a reported safety factor range of 279.
