Interruption marketing

In Denmark, the integrated gas company, has designed its back-up and storage capacity to be able to continue gas supplies to the non-interruptible market with no alternative fuel switching capacity in case of a disruption of one of the two offshore gas pipelines supplying gas to Denmark. 

Important Caveat. The figures should be seen as market estimates, as opposed to historical records, as these are forecasted for the current year of trade. More importantly, in light of the fact that unforeseeable factors might interrupt markets in achieving their reported levels, the figures should be seen as estimates of potential. For example, "mad cow" disease, foot-and-mouth...

What 1 love about Seth Godin is his blog, which is certainly easy to get lost in. Godin coined the term interruption marketing to describe tactics that work only if they interrupt you to get your attention. Instead, Godin promotes permission marketing, where a business provides relevant information to buyers. 

Determining the value of potential benefits from risk reduction is relatively straightforward for tangible losses such as property damage, business interruption, and increased insurance costs. However, intangibles such as loss of reputation are difficult to estimate and must be considered on a case-by-case basis. In addition to increased staff costs associated with public relations, items such as possible employee attrition due to low morale and possible loss of market share must be considered. 

At least a dozen incidents in the CSB data resulted in property damage alone exceeding 10 million, with three cases in which loss exceeded 100 million (Figure 8).27 These numbers do not include further financial losses due to business interruption or lost market share. 

For example, a company, based on financial requirements, may choose a low deductible ( 1 million/incident) another company, with different financial requirements, may elect a higher deductible ( 5 - 10 million). For business interruption (Bl), market conditions may influence the need for insurance coverage. For example, when capacity is high, a company may elect to have Bl coverage, however, if market conditions are weak, Bl coverage may not be warranted. 

Allow savings to build up in the money market account until you have a balance at least equal to three months , and preferably equal to six months , net take home pay. This is your emergency fund. Save it to cover times when your income is interrupted by illness, disability, or unemployment. When your emergency fund is in place, consider investment alternatives for your savings. 

By the time opium was banned by the U.S. Congress in 1905, the abuse of black market heroin had already taken hold. In 1910, Britain signed an agreement with China to dismantle the opium trade. Severe adverse psychiatric events, mainly depression and anxiety, were observed in obese patients treated with SR141716 (rimona-bant), a C1B r receptor antagonist previously in the market as an antiobesity agent (Christensen et al., 2007). 

I wanted to go into this not to make a point that Tim s obstinacy led to Nixon s downfall, which is true, nor to raise the question whether the use of LSD as a political instrument was justifiable, which is debatable, but to suggest that the price paid for the insurrection Tim devised was the interruption of supplies of LSD and in due course the flooding of the market with a variety of toxic substitutes labelled "acid."
