International financial assistance

C-V/DEC.15 adopted by the Conference of the States Parties at its Fifth Session on 17 May 2000 and oititled International financial assistance to the Russian Federation for the destruction of its chemical weapons  [Pg.461]

Recognising that under Article 1 of the Chemical Weapons Convention each State Party undertakes to destroy chemical weapons its owns or possesses  [Pg.461]

Also recognising that the Russian Federation s chemical weapons destruction programme is one of the most extensive programmes to be executed under the provisions of the convention  [Pg.461]

Aware of the continuing grave financial and economic problems the Russian Federation encounters  [Pg.461]

Also aware of the efforts made by the Russian Federation to develop its destruction programme within the limits of its economic constraints  [Pg.461]

The authors thank the Swiss National Science Foundation for financial assistance (project nrs. A.397-0.80.04 and 2.824-0.83) and the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique for a grant from its ATP International Program. [Pg.95]

Members have a role to play in ensuring that Canadian physicians are educated and kept informed on developments in health research, the health sciences and clinical practice at an international level. To that end, they may receive and consider requests from individual physicians, specialty societies and/or academic institutions for financial assistance to participate in international continuing health education events (CHEs). [Pg.132]

Financial assistance for this work has been furnished by Research Corporation of New York, U.S. Office of Naval Research, Joint Services Contract with M.I.T. and Subcontract with Brown University, Office of Aerospace Research, U.S.A.F., U.S. Army Electronics Research and Development Laboratory, U.S. Army Research Office (Durham), Advanced Research Projects Agency, National Science Foundation, and International Business Machines Corporation. Numerous present and former students and colleagues have made contributions as indicated in the references. [Pg.62]

The symposium and book would not have been possible without the financial assistance of Ajinomoto Company, Inc. Hasegawa Company, Ltd. Kirin Brewery Company, Ltd. Ogawa Company, Ltd. and Takasago International Corporation. We are grateful for their generous contributions. [Pg.1]

The authors gratefully acknowledge the financial assistance of the American Chemical Society, the Faculty of Science and Technology, and the Hawkesbury Foundation, University of Western Sydney, Hawkesbury. They also thank Mr. B. Corliss, Connoisseurs Choice, Sydney for the supply of authenticated melons and Mr. R. Finlayson, Department of Chemistry, University of New South Wales, Australia for ICP analysis. One of us (YW) thanks the Australian International Development Bureau for a scholarship. [Pg.239]

We thank the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA, Denmark) for financial assistance to carry out phytochemical investigations on a few Taxus species. [Pg.123]

One of the authors (K.N. Galkin) thanks for financial support to work at NPL, India in 2006 year within the framework of the International Long-Term Program of Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Ministry of a Science and Education of Russia and the Department of Science and Technology of India. Work is executed also at support of grants FEB RAS N° 06-III-B-02-048 and Departments of Physical Sciences of the Russian Academy of Science N° 06-I-DPS-118. Financial assistance from the DST on Project No. GAP 020632 is also acknowledged. [Pg.218]

I am grateful to the International Copper Research Association for financial assistance in the writing of this manuscript. [Pg.256]

We would like to acknowledge the financial support by NEDO/RITE in the framework of the International NEDO-project Device for hydrogen production" and also by the DFG (SFB 480, project Cl). We are also grateful to Claudia Koenig and Bettina Thiiner for excellent technical assistance. [Pg.178]

The present volume of the series focuses on the interplay between organisms and the physical chemistry of the environmental media in which they live. It critically discusses the different physicochemical and biophysical features of the kinetics of processes at the biointerface, with special attention given to aspects such as bioavailability of chemical species, analysis of the necessary mass transfer towards/from the biointerface, routes of transfer through the biomembrane, etc. This volume was realised within the framework of the activities of the former IUPAC Commission on Fundamental Environmental Chemistry of the Division of Chemistry and the Environment. We thank the IUPAC officers responsible, especially the executive director, Dr John Jost, for their support and assistance. We also thank the International Council for Science (ICSU) for financial support of the work of the Commission. This enabled us to organise the discussion meeting of the full team of chapter authors (in Diibendorf, Switzerland, 2001) which formed such an essential step in the preparation and harmonisation of the various chapters of this book. [Pg.569]

We thank the National Science and Engineering Research Council (Canada) for financial support of this work, for an International Scientific Exchange Award (R. K.), and for an International Fellowship (G. S.). The assistance of Mr. Dale Wood is gratefully acknowledged. [Pg.111]

We are grateful for the financial support given to us in the production of this book by Environment Canada (Centre Saint-Laurent, Quebec region, Environmental Conservation), the University of Metz (Metz, France) and IDRC (International Development Research Centre, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada). For their assistance in many dedicated ways which facilitated our tasks and ensured the timely completion of our book, we extend our thanks to the following persons Mr. Andres Sanchez and Dr. Jean Lebel (IDRC) Ms. Jacinthe Leclerc, Dr. Alex Vincent and Dr. Andre Talbot (Centre Saint-Laurent) Ms. Sylvie Bibeau and Dr. Laura Pirastru (University of Quebec in Montreal).
