The Electronic Common Technical Document (eCTD) is the vision for future electronic submissions to the FDA. This specification was developed by the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) as an open-standards solution for electronic submissions to worldwide regulatory authorities. The FDA has adopted the eCTD as the future replacement for its other e-submission guidance, although for now the older guidance is still in effect. Note that the eCTD still depends largely on submitting text documents as PDF files and submitting data sets as SAS XPORT transport format files. [Pg.8]

The synthesis, analysis and applications of labeled compounds is an area in which basic and applied research go hand-in-hand. Over the last quarter of a century the field has seen considerable expansion as reflected in the emergence of a specific journal (Journal of Labeled Compounds and Radiopharmaceuticals) and the publication of the proceedings of international conferences held at three-yearly intervals. The formation of the International Isotope Society is also an indication of the increasing importance of isotopes and isotopically labeled compounds. [Pg.435]

With the formation of the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH), the GMP guidelines are presented in Q7.This document has been adopted by the United States, the European Union, and Japan. [Pg.315]

In June 2004 the Australian Regulatory Guidelines for Prescription Medicines (ARGPM) were issued by the TGA to replace the AGRDl. Under the ARGPM the format for registration applications in Australia is the Common Technical Document (CTD) developed through the International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH). [Pg.656]

In this review, however, only recent studies of the reactions of macromolecule-metal complexes will be reviewed. There have been some exellent reviews recently on macromolecule-metal complexes regarding syntheses, formation, characterization and catalytic activities l solar energy conversion 2), artificial oxygen carriers 3), and electrode processes 4). Furthermore, the preprints of the 1st International Conference on Macromolecule-Metal Complexes Tokyo Seminar on Macromolecule-Metal Complexes were published in 19875). These reviews and the preprints give useful information about the recent development of the basic and applied chemistry of macromolecule-metal complexes. [Pg.106]

In addition to developing reference methods and establishing the LSP, CDC has sponsored two conferences focusing on standardization and traceability. The first was the Conference on a National Understanding for the Development of Reference Methods and Materials, in 1977 [12], This conference led to the formation of the Council of the National Reference System for Clinical Chemistry, which subsequently became the Reference System for the Clinical Laboratory, within the NCCLS (formerly the National Committee of Clinical Laboratory Standards). The second, in 1983, was the Second International Conference on Biomedical Laboratory Standardization. This conference led to the formation of the International Medical Laboratory Information System... [Pg.160]

AERS. A pilot program for electronic submission of individual case safety reports is now being conducted with pharmaceutical manufacturers with approved products. The format follows the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) standards. For more information on the ICH, please contact Timothy Mahoney at mahoneyt cder.fda.gov. [Pg.40]

A 0.1% threshold for identification and isolation of impurities from all new molecular entities is under consideration by the International Conference on Harmonization as an international regulatory standard [4,5]. However, where there is evidence to suggest the presence or formation of toxic impurities, identification should be attempted. An example of this is the 1500 reports of Eosinophilia-Mylagia Syndrome and more than 30 deaths associated with one impurity present in L-tryptophan which were present at the 0.0089% level [6]. [Pg.6]

Dr Galwey has spent periods of study leave in England, Italy and South Africa and has presented Invited Lectures at many International Conferences. His interests in solid state chemistry continue, in spite of his retirement, and include applications in environmental protection, the geology of mineral formation and heterogeneous catalysis. [Pg.607]
