The general concept of authentication, on the other hand, is not only circumscribed to adulteration but also includes aspects such as characterization, geographical origin of foodstuffs, extraction and processing systems, among others. Thus, the combined effect of a great amount of data, supplied by the current sophisticated instrumentation and the various issues included inside the concept of authenticity means that the analyst faces a complex situation. We cannot therefore think that we only need to put data in one side of a black box (the computer) and get the results from the other side. 

It is important to point out that matrix effects engendered by different grape varieties, wine colour or geographical origin are in general of no consequence in well-executed calibrations. 

Depending on its geographical origin, the drug contains 5% 9% kavapyrones. These are derivatives of 6-styryl-4-methoxy-a-pyrones with anticonvulsive, muscle-relaxing and generally sedative effects. 

ABSTRACT For the past ten years our research group has been working on bioactive natural products with insecticidal effects. We have focused mainly on the flora of the Canarian Archipelago because of its rich biodiversity (Lauraceae, Compositae, Boraginaceae). In the second series of experiments, a layer of cocoa butter was placed in contact with a creamy mixture of peanut oil and chemically interesterified fully hydrogenated palm oil blended at a ratio of 60 40 (w/w).
