Dr. F. Kalhammer of EPRI in the USA who, as an outstanding former PhD student of the late Professor G.M. Schwab, has understood Electrochemical Promotion as deeply as anyone else, and has done a tremendous job through his truly outstanding technical writing to disseminate NEMCA research and to inform scientific funding agencies and industry about the potential applications of electrochemical promotion. 

Home Office Science Advisory Council (1967-1975), he advised the police. Several other departments of state, research councils, and higher-education funding agencies also sought his assistance.

Promoting this important field of research to European funding agencies and politicians... 

It seems clear that government as a funding agency and physicians as clinical providers may take race into account when racial correlations with health status or health care are directly relevant. In many clinical situations moral and legal duties to take race into account in order to respond properly to the patient s health needs may also exist, either because of state action or because of state laws banning racial and ethnic discrimination in public accommodations, which include hospitals and physician offices. Three situations in which a physician may have a duty to recognize racial correlations and order a different test or therapy as a result are discussed below. 

Funding agencies must commit to encouraging and funding both the development and distribution of reference materials and certified reference materials. However, production and distribution of reference materials will not become self-supporting unless the ocean research community uses them and widely appreciates their value. At present, this is not the case therefore, any plan to produce reference materials must also be designed to encourage their use.

It is not enough that your proposal targets the needs of a funding agency your proposed idea(s) must also be intellectually sound. Typically, reviewers judge the intellectual merit of a proposal according to three criteria, each of which is described in more detail below ... 

Glance at an RFP for a research grant. Use an RFP provided by your instructor or search for a funding agency on the Web such as the FPA, NIH, NSF, Research Corporation, or the ACS Petroleum Research Fund. 

Find an RFP that you can follow to write your proposal (ideally, one from the funding agency that you selected). If you cannot find a suitable RFP, use the generic RFP in excerpt IIB.
