Functional architecture

Figme 3.8 describes the functional architecture of the CSD. The memory copies are depicted by the bold double arrows, and the internal data transit by the double arrows. [Pg.82]

The CSD is a cyclical and synchronous computer. The temporal characteristics (cycle time, frequency of self-tests) are adjusted by the user and performed by software interrupt mechanisms [Pg.83]

At initialization, the CAP (VME bus master) transmits these characteristics (cycle time and frequency of self-tests) to the voter in its basket. [Pg.83]

The voter plays the role of the eonductof the starting voter signals the begiiuiing of the eycle by a sign of life (SoL) interrupt message. [Pg.84]

The voter of chaimel A starts off the initialization aibitrarily. In case of a breakdown of the first voter, the second voter takes up the relay automatically. [Pg.84]
