Frost bite

Dry Ice should be handled with gloves or with a dry towel if Dry Ice is held for a long time in the hand, it may cause frost bite. 

In the event of frost-bite do not rub the affected area but immerse rapidly in warm water and maintain general body warmth. 

Little information is available on what happens when you are exposed to hydrogen sulfide by getting it on your skin, although care must be taken with the liquefied product to avoid frost bite. It is known that hydrogen sulfide will irritate your eyes if you are exposed to the gas. These types of exposures are more common in certain occupational settings. 

Vinyl bromide inhalation is reported to cause loss of consciousness. It is a skin and eye irritant and causes a frost-bite type of bum (lARC, 1986).

The usual habitat of both species of opossums is brashy or forested, ranging from an open to a full canopy. Kemedy for Itching Peet firom Frost-bites. Take hj-drochloric acid, 1 ounce 111111 water. 7 ounces wash the feet with it 2 or 3 times daily, or wet the socks with the preparation until relieved.

Risk of frost-bite, burn or scald from exposed pipework or components over typical operating range of —80 °C to 138 °C. 

Sleeping bags should optimally support the thermoregulation of the soldier in any environment. A sleeping soldier s body produces heat—the equivalent of an SOW heater. However, this heat is lost via convection, conduction, sweat evaporation, radiation, and respiration. In a comfortable sleeping bag, heat production, and heat loss are in equilibrium. This produces optimum sleeping comfort. If heat generation and heat loss are not in equilibrium, soldiers may sleep poorly, or in the worst case, in colder environments, frost bite and hypothermia may occur.

Human tissue cooled below about -10 °C will suffer necrosis or frost bite or cold bums. It is therefore sensible to ensure that, when handling cryogenic liquids, gases and cold equipment, the right clothes are worn so as to avoid cold bums. These should include loose gloves, long sleeves, trousers without tum-ups, shoes/boots— not sandals—eye protectors and so on.
