The last part of the file presented here is a properties block, which can contain miscellaneous properties extensively described in Refs. [50, 51]. In most cases, however, this block is empty, except for a terminating line (line 18 in Figure 2-25).

THERdbASE contains two major modules, namely a Database Module and a Model Base Module. The Database Module relates information from exposure, dose and risk-related data files, and contains information about the following population distributions, location/activity patterns, food-consumption patterns, agent properties, agent sources (use patterns), environmental agent concentrations, food contamination, physiological parameters, risk parameters and miscellaneous data files. The Model Base Module provides access to exposure dose and risk-related models. The specific models included with the software are as follows Model 101, subsetting activity pattern data Model 102, location patterns (simulated) Model 103, source (time application) Model 104, source (instantaneous application) Model 105, indoor air (two zones) Model 106, indoor air (n zones) Model 107, inhalation exposure (BEAM) Model 108, inhalation exposure (multiple chemicals) Model 109, dermal dose (film thickness) Model 110, dose scenario (inhalation/dermal) Model 201, soil exposure (dose assessment). 

In the technical library the starting point of all searches is the file of index slips which the library has accumulated. This file includes references in periodicals, government publications, material put out by associations and societies, trade literature, books, literature searches previously made, and miscellaneous material. As in the case of patent searches, an earlier investigation brought up to date may take care of the request or some portion of it. Standard reference works in the field in question are then consulted. Abstract journals are covered next. This step in the search is of the greatest importance, as it serves as a key to the periodical literature. An abstract is not regarded as a substitute for the article abstracted in all but a brief preliminary examination the original reference is read if at all possible.

The M in Mcommands stands for miscellaneous in this case, M02 means stop or end of file, annotated section of a Gerber file. 

The folder contains miscellaneous materials other than software. Cool Edit 98 (PC partition) is not a synthesis program. Rather, it is a sound editor which can be very useful for handling your sound files. 

Miscellaneous tools. Pressure gauge, magnetic pickup tool, multimeter (to test voltage, resistance, and amperage), punches, chisels, files, pens, tape, pry bars of various sizes, wire stripper, wire brush, oil pan, funnel, hacksaw, rags, and a couple of good flashlights (because one will inevitably be broken...). 

Cross Reference file. The connection table in the Registry Structure file is accessed for a given NSC Number by the IRN present in the NSC record of the Cross Reference file. The name and address and other control information for a given supplier in the Miscellaneous file is accessed by the supplier code in the NSC record for a given compound. The NSC Numbers of all the compounds scheduled for shipment on a specific Material Shipping List (MSL) is accessed for a specific carton of samples by the MSL number in the MSL record in the Miscellaneous file. As will be described later, the INQUIRY subsystem uses the search Indexes and Inverted lists to be lead to NSC Numbers and their associated data in response to full structure or substructure searches.
