File handling

Start the 2D WIN-NMR program and check the functionality of the minimize/maximize button. Try to arrange the 2D and 1D WIN-NMR application windows so that each fills half the display. This will be helpful later in the processing of 2D data, where the 1D WIN-NMR options should also be accessible. Iconize the 2D WIN-NMR program by clicking the corresponding button in the title bar. [Pg.85]

Start 1D WIN-NMR and from the File pull-down menu choose the Open... submenu. Select and load the ID proton spectrum of glucose D NMRDATA GLUCOSEM D H GH 001999.1 R by clicking the OK button (Fig. 4.5). [Pg.86]

Using the Save as. .. option, store the data under the file name D NMRDATA 1D H GH 001001.1R. Check the various formats listed in the corresponding dialog box, select the binary format and hit the OK button to save the file. Use the Help information to familiarize with the Recall last function. [Pg.86]

Now choose the File Manager option in the ID WIN-NMR File pull-down menu which will show the 1D WIN-NMR application window and the WINDOWS file manager window in a dual display mode (Fig. 4.6). In the directory D NMRDATA GLUCOSE 1D H GH check that there is a new entry for the 1D proton spectrum stored above. [Pg.87]

With this dual display still on the screen select in the file manager window the ID carbon spectrum D NMRDATA GLUCOSE 1D C GC 001999.1R and use the drag and drop method to move it directly and most conveniently into the 1D WIN-NMR application window. [Pg.88]

File handling statements allow the manipulation of sequential and random access files. (Since there is considerable variation from one system to the next, the following information is given in general terms only.) Devices are treated... [Pg.117]

If no other files are specified for input or output in the program heading, the default files or devices (usually the keyboard and the printer or the screen) are used. If other (declared) files are to be used, they must be prepared (see file handling statements) and then specified in the input/output statements, as follows... [Pg.128]

File-handling statements—Every file, except the INPUT and OUTPUT files, must be defined in a VAR statement that gives its name and type, e.g.,... [Pg.128]

COLLECT performs a validate, freeing up any improperly allocated sectors. COPY and CONCAT let you copy or combine disk files on the same disk or between drives on a dualdrive system (but not with separate drives addressed with different device numbers). BACKUP can also be used only with a dual drive to copy one disk to another. APPEND lets you add new data to an existing file. DOPEN and DCLOSE make file handling easier, and RECORD makes relative files a breeze. The reserved variables DS and DS let you examine the disk error channel. DCLEAR clears all open disk channels. [Pg.7]

JJandtes.—ilaadliis for files or screwdrivers are best when made of maple or a])plc wood. Maple is generally prefeived. Some niediaiiich like soft wood, as bosa-wood or white birch, for file handles, but they arc not so noat as those tnadu of maple. Get those with ferrules made from sheet brass, raised to form. Soft wood handles am wort h about 25 cents per dozen, and the haixl wood about 50 cents. [Pg.334]

There are several ways to do this, but the most straightforward is to use file-handles. A filehandle is the connection between a script and a file. Scripts can read from a filehandle to get the contents of the file a line at a time and print to a filehandle to add data to a file. [Pg.422]

When a Perl script reads a line from <> and prints without using a specified file-handle, it instead uses two automatic filehandles called STDIN and STDOUT. The statements... [Pg.433]

The File Handling Section. In this section the connection tables are compressed to a very small binary storage format (see below). This part contains subroutines for storing compounds and reading in predefined fragments from fragment files. (See MOLMOUSE File Format below.)... [Pg.96]

We succeeded in finding of numerical coefficients in (3.16) by data file handling received by solution of equations of continuum turbulent movement with the use of K-e turbulence model (3.1)-(3.12) and by method of finite elements on irregular computational grid. [Pg.65]

File Handlers. There are two classes of table files handled for chemical-scientific database operations general and chemical. A separate facility is provided for each in MACCS-II. [Pg.102]

All optimizations were performed with the open-source MS IBI Python package we developed [33], which calls HOOMD-Blue [34-36] to run the CG simulations and uses MDTraj [37, 38] for RDF calculations and file-handling. CG simulations were run at the same states as the atomistic systems. Initial CG configurations were generated from the CG-mapped atomistic trajectories at each state. As a result of the 4 1 mapping, CG water simulations contained 1,458 water beads. All CG simulations were run with a 10 fs timestep. The derived CG potential was set to 0 beyond the cutoff of 12 A. [Pg.42]

All the modifications necessary to create an AutoMonitor are performed automatically by an installer stack, StackMonitor, which can be used to convert almost any HyperCard stack. A user interface for the monitor is created, which provides facilities fcM- inspecting the record recording a user name deleting the record writing the record to an external text file and opening that file in a Macintosh application. An XFCN resource is added to the stack to extend HyperCard s rather limited file-handling capabilities. [Pg.25]

Dr W.G. Town was responsible for the ordered file system, wrote many of the programs for basic file handling and the preparation of the author and formula indexes. [Pg.500]

Use of vims checking software and appropriate program and file handling procedures in the engineering console to help avoid cormption of the embedded and/or application logic. [Pg.63]
