During HR-5 construction, main design features and safety concepts of the NHR have been reviewed and approved by the Chinese National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA). The HR-200 design is based on the HR-5 practice. Their main design features are the same. Therefore the HR-200 will be licensable. Up to now the first HR-200 plant siting report and environmental impact assessment report have been reviewed and approved, the design certification of INET for NHR has been also released by National Nuclear Industrial Co. (NNIC), and the review on the preliminary safety analysis report is under way. [Pg.269]

For the purpose of categorizing the concepts and discussing the trends of common features and design approach, it has been found convenient to group the concepts in a hierarchical fashion, as follows ... [Pg.52]

As reviewed throughout this book and particularly in Chapter 3, Design Concept, there are many design features that keep expanding the use of plastics in different products. These features include shapes, sandwich constructions, shrinkages, tolerances, and processes. [Pg.24]

Various works has pointed out the role of the nanostructure of the catalysts in their design.18-26 There is a general agreement that the nanostructure of the oxide particles is a key to control the reactivity and selectivity. Several papers have discussed the features and properties of nanostructured catalysts and oxides,27-41 but often the concept of nanostructure is not clearly defined. A heterogeneous catalyst should be optimized on a multiscale level, e.g. from the molecular level to the nano, micro- and meso-scale level.42 Therefore, not only the active site itself (molecular level) is relevant, but also the environment around the active site which orients or assist the coordination of the reactants, may induce sterical constrains on the transition state, and affect the short-range transport effects (nano-scale level).42 The catalytic surface process is in series with the transport of the reactants and the back-diffusion of the products which should be concerted with the catalytic transformation. Heat... [Pg.365]

The first column of each month is devoted to a total synthesis. So many outstanding total syntheses appear each year, no attempt was made to be comprehensive. Rather, each synthesis chosen was selected because it contributed in some important way to the developing concepts of synthesis strategy and design. It is important to note that even if a total synthesis was not featured as such, all new reaction chemistry in that synthesis was included at the appropriate place in these Highlights. [Pg.117]
