Feasibility Implementation

After considering all pros and cons of the waste minimization program, the option should be qualified to be implemented. After implementation of the proposed option, the process should be monitored carefully and evaluated on a regular basis to determine its efficiency. Otherwise, modification is required to make it beneficial [10]. A successful waste minimization assessment approach has the following stages (Fig. 3.5). [Pg.59]

The EOS models are adaptable for mixtures of arbitrary complexity, with number and types of components only limited by hardware. Model runs with mixtures of over 100 components have been tested, and are perfectly feasible. Implemented within the software are four equations of state additional equations of state can easily be added. Also implemented are G models and mixture viscosities. Finally, the EOS models provide liquid- vapour flash calculations, liquid-liquid flash (designed for petroleum-aqueous solutions) and the generation of phase diagrams. [Pg.89]

The OEL Subcommittee selects for assessment an OEL currently in use in a foreign country. After satisfying itself that the OEL is appropriate and can be feasibly implemented in the Netherlands, the OEL Subcommittee may then recommend to the Minister that it be adopted as an OEL in the Netherlands. On the basis of foe OEL Subcommittee s recommendation, foe Minister may thai decide to approve this fOTeign OEL as an administrative OEL for foe substance. [Pg.92]

If the control valves open during the high pressure (25 Barg) phase, the pressure would instantaneously rise in the vent line, so the SIF would need to operate within seconds to prevent a pressure transient in the downstream equipment. The design could be feasibly implemented with 2 pressure transmitters and 2 isolation valves. The required response time could be met using quick vents (fast-acting solenoids) to rapidly close the isolation valves. [Pg.160]

E. If feasible, implement or start to implement the program. However, this task is not necessary for the successful completion of this exercise. [Pg.268]

Here, it should be pointed out that the thiol-epoxy click reaction is a feasibility implemented in many important biosynthetic and biomedical applications because the base-catalyzed reactions can be easily carried out in water and in solvent-free conditions with high yield. [Pg.257]

A variety of methodologies have been implemented for the reaction field. The basic equation for the dielectric continuum model is the Poisson-Laplace equation, by which the electrostatic field in a cavity with an arbitrary shape and size is calculated, although some methods do not satisfy the equation. Because the solute s electronic strucmre and the reaction field depend on each other, a nonlinear equation (modified Schrddinger equation) has to be solved in an iterative manner. In practice this is achieved by modifying the electronic Hamiltonian or Fock operator, which is defined through the shape and size of the cavity and the description of the solute s electronic distribution. If one takes a dipole moment approximation for the solute s electronic distribution and a spherical cavity (Onsager s reaction field), the interaction can be derived rather easily and an analytical expression of theFock operator is obtained. However, such an expression is not feasible for an arbitrary electronic distribution in an arbitrary cavity fitted to the molecular shape. In this case the Fock operator is very complicated and has to be prepared by a numerical procedure. [Pg.418]

Feasibility Analysis Phase The point in a pollution prevention program at which waste reduction options are evaluated technically, economically and environmentally. The results are used to select options to be recommended for implementation. [Pg.530]

Things have moved on since the early papers given above. The development of Mpller-Plesset perturbation theory (Chapter 11) marked a turning point in treatments of electron correlation, and made such calculations feasible for molecules of moderate size. The Mpller-Plesset method is usually implemented up to MP4 but the convergence of the MPn series is sometimes unsatisfactory. The effect... [Pg.321]

The final report will need to include a detailed description of the implementation procedure to demonstrate that the synthesized layout is feasible. [Pg.78]

AS of this writing, 100% inspection by NAA of small arms primers in an actual production loading plant has not been implemented, nor is it contemplated in the near future. Technical problems exist related to coupling the present state-of-the-art nuclear components with the high production rates for the primers, namely, tens of units per sec per automatic loading line. The high intensity of the neutron source and the complexity of the detection system required detracts from the utility of the method in a plant environment where simplicity and safety of operation are of paramount importance. Nevertheless, the technical feasibility of the method has been demonstrated by the AMMRC study and future developments in nuclear activation hardware may ultimately make this non-destructive inspection for production primers more viable... [Pg.368]
