Factors of influence

Which polymorphic form of a compound is formed depends on the preparation and crystallization conditions method of synthesis, temperature, pressure, kind of solvent, cooling or heating rate, crystallization from solution, fusion or gas phase, and presence of seed crystals are some of the factors of influence. [Pg.31]

Abstract Amino acids are the basic building blocks in the chemistry of life. This chapter describes the controllable assembly, structures and properties of lathanide(III)-transition metal-amino acid clusters developed recently by our group. The effects on the assembly of several factors of influence, such as presence of a secondary ligand, lanthanides, crystallization conditions, the ratio of metal ions to amino acids, and transition metal ions have been expounded. The dynamic balance of metalloligands and the substitution of weak coordination bonds account for the occurrence of diverse structures in this series of compounds. [Pg.171]

The type and extent of the structural effects of a change in the propulsion system on industry are determined by several factors of influence, such as the regional supplier and outfitter structure of a traditional propulsion system or a traditional boiler, the regional changes (due to changing net imports or net exports of components of the new propulsion system), and the overall development of car or boiler production in the economy considered (Feige and Goes, 1999). [Pg.372]

The roles of method validation in the achievement of reliable results are (1) to include all possible effects or factors of influence on the final result, (2) to make them traceable to stated references [reference methods, reference materials, or International System of Units (SI)], and (3) to know the uncertainties associated with each of these effects and with the references. Validation is thus a tool to establish traceability to these references [2,4]. In this context, it is important to see the difference between traceability and accuracy. A method which is accurate, in terms of true (i.e., approximating the true value), is always traceable to what is considered to be the true value. The opposite however is not correct. A method that is traceable to a stated reference is not necessarely true (accurate). Errors can still occur in this method, depending on the reference [12]. [Pg.747]

The major factors of influence determining the product distribution resulting from plastics pyrolysis are summarized in Table 1.1. [Pg.10]

The factors of influence on secondary hydrocarbon migration vary on large temporal and spatial scales (Section 4.3.1). [Pg.140]

It is known that observing in radical polymerization processes change of chains bimolecular termination rate constant kt (reaction is controlled by diffusion) is often connected with the change of reaction solution viscosity [4, 5] which is naturally increased by the accumulation of reaction product in system - polymer. And then the contribution of viscosity factor is significant and that is why the reduction of rate constant of chains bimolecular termination kt is observed first of all. Fiowever, for a number of monomers it is necessary to consider the factor of influence of initial reaction solution viscosity on polymerization parameters. [Pg.355]

Besides the molar gel composition (what is an obvious factor of influence), a strong effect on phase purity of crystallization product and its crystallinity is attributed to the origin of the reagents used in synthesis of SAPO materials. We have found that DiPenA template is very selective in SAPO-31 formation for the case of both aluminum isopropoxide and Reheis F2000 alumina hydroxycarbonate as a source of alumina as well as for different kinds of silica sources. In Table 3 catalytic properties of SAPO-31 prepared with different reagents are presented. [Pg.901]

The wind is an important factor of influence on the dispersion. The wind direction is defined as the direction from which the wind blows. Informations on the wind directions at a specific site are given in the form of a windrose. This is a polar diagram, where the length of the sections of the spokes is proportional to the observed frequencies of wind direction and speed. [Pg.490]

The cr-values are the standard deviations of the concentration in the direction of the wind, at a right angle from the wind direction and vertically upwards. They can easier be determined experimentally than the eddy coefficient K. The standard deviations depend on the atmospheric conditions and the distance from the source in the direction of the wind. In [26] relationships are given for them which depend on the weather condition (stable, neutral, unstable), the velocity of the wind and the surface roughness Zq (vid. Table 10.5). Separate values for and are provided for Cy the same value as for is used. For distances < 100 m the standard deviations are not verified. That is why results in that range have to be treated with caution. The integration of further factors of influence in the dispersion process is described in [26]. [Pg.498]

All of these and further important factors of influence are not yet known at the moment of land-use planning. That is why the recourse is to base considerations on a flctitious generic plant. This is difficult because amongst others reliability data at the level of process units are available, if at all, only for some classes of units, e.g. [Pg.613]

Desorption techniques hit only an ahquot of the zone size on its very surface, and sputtering and conduction into the MS must be constructed very effectively to guarantee the respective sensitivity and rehabihty. Thus, often automation and internal standards were used for desorption techniques. Moreover, it was reported for MALDI [97] or DESI [65,66,111] that sensitivities were depending on the hRp value of a substance besides other factors of influence. [Pg.1200]

The opportunity and expediency of use of catalytic and oxidizing destruction of synthetic rubbers in solutions reactionary compoimds in quality of half-finished product are confirmed at reception with getting several finishing compositions. Many factors of influence on oxidative-destractive transformatiorrs of the various marks of rubbers, favorable for realizatiorts of the specified opportunity are identified and characterized. [Pg.143]
