Influence of Other Factors

Based on mechanistic models of particle-based wear, other nonlinear (nonunity power) dependencies on pressure and velocity have also been proposed [44,61]. Clear experimental evidenee for such dependencies remains to be found, particularly to isolate or remove the influence of other factors (e.g., slurry flow) that might also indirectly be influenced by pressure and velocity (and thus change rather than the primary PV product dependency). 

In order to explore the substituent effect on the assembly of coordination polymers, the influence of other factors should be excluded. Although there are some anomalies in the literature, it is generally agreed that both types of volume deformation are a function of the same fundamental mechanism and that the influence of other factors such as admixtures will affect both shrinkage and creep in a similar manner. As outlined earlier, water-reducing admixtures can be used to obtain different effects on the plastic/hardened concrete and it is this factor, together with the admixture type, that is important in determining the effect on the volume deformations of concrete. 

We present a review of theoretical and experimental results on the swelling behavior and collapse transition in polymer gels obtained by our group at Moscow State University. The main attention is paid to polyelectrolyte networks where the most important factor is additional osmotic pressure created by mobile counter ions. To sum up catalysts exhibiting rapid activity changes (up or down) can be studied using the TS-PFR as long as the changes of activity are purely a function of time-on-stream and temperature. Suitable procedures are discussed below. Influences of other factors, such as reactant composition or poisoning species concentration, have to be absent or held constant in each experiment. A more detailed discussion may be found in Grenier (1997). 

In order to obtain better conditions for the establishment of such a model we have retained only samples with average sorting indices, thereby eliminating the influence of other factors on the correlation. 

Data obtained from station 13 show that DO variation with time can be mainly attributed to the influence of phj ical factors in the mixed water region (Table 4.17). The influence of salinity on DO variation with time was greater than that of temperature based on the correlation coefficients between them and DO. The significant positive correlation between DO and water temperature is inconsistent with thermodynamic knowledge, which suggests that the influence of other factors on DO variations with time is more significant than the thermodynamic factor. Many factors affect folate metabolism, including dietary folate level, nutritional status of vitamins B6, B12, and riboflavin, zinc status, alcoholism, and physical states such as pregnancy and lactation. In many cases, the effects of these factors are seen in altered excretion rates of intact folates and metabolites, but the effects on tissue levels of the various folates and transfer rates between tissues are not well understood. Preliminary human and animal kinetic models are being devek ed in our laboratory based on studies conducted under controlled dietary conditions. These models will provide a base from which to study the effects of altered folate nutriture as well as the influence of other factors such as pregnancy and aging on folate metabolism. 

Depletion of dissolved SOq in marine sediments is displayed over widely varying depth ranges, depending mainly on the interplay of rates of microbial metabolism, sediment accumulation and diffusive sulfate replenishment. Sulfate concentration gradients can be used with sedimentation rates, diffusion coefficients and model assumptions to estimate rates or rate constants for microbial sulfate reduction in sediments (Toth and Lerman, 1977 Berner, 1978 Canfield, 1991). There is a general proportionality between rates of sediment accumulation and sulfate reduction, but this relation is only weakly predictive for specific sites because of the influence of other factors on sulfate reduction rates (e.g. organic matter composition, microbial population density, etc.). 

Regression analysis takes into account the influence of other factors included in the model. Definitive interpretation of prior research is hobbled in two ways 1) one or more of the key HRM practices is omitted from examination (no prior study ineludes employee participation in both decision making and financial returns as well as measures of management safety culture), and 2) the variables are often examined in a univariate, rather than a multivariate, framewoik. 

According to the new approach, the nanocapaUary liquid of living organisms is nonstructural second liquid. As second liquid essentially differs from ordinary liquid (in particular, by high fluidity), at least a part of the existing pnizzles of inter- and intracellular water has to get natural explanation. Emphasize that we do not exclude also the influence of other factors.
