For the dispatch of samples of those essential oils class ed as dangerous substances, the regulations for documentation are canceled and the requirements for packing have been reduced to a minimum and thus the excepted quantity is of invaluable help. However, the dispatch is only allowed in a combined packing and the packaging must be marked with the label excepted quantity (Figure 24.4). 

In case the quantities to be sent exceed the exemptions for an excepted quantity, there exists the possibility of a labeling as limited quantity. As per (different) regulations of the carriers, these packages have to be labeled as shown in Figure 24.5.

For the above reasons, gas Is typically economic to develop only if it can be used locally, i.e. if a local demand exists. As a guide, approximately 10 Tcf of recoverable gas would be required to justify building a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant. Globally there are few such plants, but an example would be the LNG plant in Malaysia which liquefies gas and transports it by refrigerated tanker to Japan. The investment capital required for an LNG plant Is very large typically in the order of 10 billion. 

Microwave studies in molecular beams are usually limited to studying the ground vibrational state of the complex. For complexes made up of two molecules (as opposed to atoms), the intennolecular vibrations are usually of relatively low amplitude (though there are some notable exceptions to this, such as the ammonia dimer). Under these circumstances, the methods of classical microwave spectroscopy can be used to detennine the stmcture of the complex. The principal quantities obtained from a microwave spectmm are the rotational constants of the complex, which are conventionally designated A, B and C in decreasing order of magnitude there is one rotational constant 5 for a linear complex, two constants (A and B or B and C) for a complex that is a symmetric top and tliree constants (A, B and C) for an... 

A small quantity of mandelonitrild may be obtained by extracting the aqueous layer with 25 ml. of benzene, evaporating the benzene, and adding the residue to the main portion. This extraction is hardly worth while except for large scale preparations. 

The above reagent is very dilute and is intended for qualitative reactions. It is hardly suitable for the preparation of crystalline derivatives except in very small quantities (compare Section 111,74,7). 

Except for hydrogen, helium is the most abundant element found through out the universe. Helium is extracted from natural gas. In fact, all natural gas contains at least trace quantities of helium.

The column (or line entry) headed a gives the volume of gas (in milliliters) measured at standard conditions (0°C and 760 mm or 101.325 kN dissolved in 1 mL of water at the temperature stated (in degrees Celsius) and when the pressure of the gas without that of the water vapor is 760 mm.
