Internet CER the website has an area titled For the Environment , which in turn directs the reader to the environmental annual report, EH S commitment, chairman s challenge awards and a section on cleaning up the River Sweep. The internet report is identical to the CER, but is not in an easily downloaded format. [Pg.135]

There are a multitude of governmental requirements for the manufacture and handling of isocyanates. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandates testing and risk management for TDl and MDl under Toxic Substance Control Administration (TSCA). Annual reports on emissions of both isocyanates are required by the EPA under SARA 313. [Pg.353]

How do you prepare for an audit of the environmental chambers In preparing for an audit, it is necessary that all validation documents be readily available for inspection. If these documents are stored off-site, arrangements should be made to retrieve these documents in time for the inspection. In addition, all chamber deviations should be identified and summarized in an annual report, if necessary. Also, the chamber inventory should be verified against existing records to ensure accuracy. An explanation should be available to explain any inventory discrepancies. [Pg.253]

Problem of Verification. Much of the data used in this study were gathered by interviews with R D personnel from the sample firms. These individuals provided both subjective and objective information about their companies and the manner in which environmental protection regulations impact their R D activities. Given the size and complexity of these sample firms, this data were difficult to verify. However, to help substantiate the validity of the data provided, the researchers analyzed the responses for consistencies or possible contradictions. Comparisons were made between individual responses and data gathered from trade journals, annual reports, and other secondary data sources. Further, in selected instances, the researchers made plant tours to personally observe the manner in which the companies had been affected. [Pg.75]
