Enhanced plans

NOTE Contractors unable to meet host organization requirements for accident rates or experience modification rates may submit a written safety enhancement program designed to bring project performance in line with host organization requirements which will be implemented for all work done for the host organization. If approved by the host organization health and safety professional, the safety enhancement plan will become part of the contractor s job-specific safety plan and the contractor may be approved. 

Audit report titles should reflect a more enlightened and proactive approach to auditing something like the GMP enhancement plan or quality and compliance improvements might serve to motivate employees and enlist executive management s support rather than the cold audit report. 

Designing a corrective action plan—Along with the ability to audit and evaluate the status of documentation and organizational practices is the need to know how to address and correct deficiencies that are identified. Audit activities should always be paired with the development of a comprehensive enhancement plan that addresses, corrects, and prevents all deficient practices observed during the audit. An audit without this corrective and preventative counterpart is at best useless and at worst quite dangerous if the noted deficiencies go uncorrected.

With these conditions in mind, Battelle took advantage of the situation with an aggressive approach in their use of S M funding to allow their present inspection and repair actions to enhance planned D D activities. The confluence of sharply rising Operations and Maintenance (O M) costs. NRC requested Individual Plant Examinations (IPEs) and increased personal computer capabilities gave rise to the R R Workstation. Its uses and maintains-current PSA models and databases for individual plants to perform O M planning and scheduling, and uses the PSA in IPE models to identify plant design, procedure and operational vulnerabilities. The Risk and Reliability Workstation Alliance was organized by EPRI to support the R R Workshop in order to achieve O M cost reduction, plant productivity and safety enhancement through risk-based, user-friendly, windowed software louls (Table 3.6 8). Two of the many effective techniques that mentors use in order to enhance mentees learning and development are formal learning objectives, and reviewing the development plan.
