Since the belt is wrapped snugly around the material, it moves with the belt and is not subject to any form of internal movement except at feed and discharge. In addition, the belt can operate in many planes, with twists and turns to meet almost any layout condition within the fixed hmit of curvature placed on the loaded belt. It can convey and elevate with only a single drive multiple feed and discharge points are relatively easy to arrange. [Pg.1926]

Containment design details - basic structure, major contents (beat structures), internal safety systems performance data, special features, reactor cavity/sump details, layout elevations and floor plans, fnateriais specifications, design limits, etc. [Pg.231]

Scheme, site plan, layouts and elevations including infrastructure modifications ... [Pg.51]

The plant layout design and whether the processes involve dry, wet or contaminated environments with possibly elevated temperatures will affect the principles adopted... [Pg.80]

There is a wide range of pneumatic, vibratory, belt or en-masse type elevators and conveyors for transfer of coal from storage to boiler. The final scheme depends on site layout constraints and cost. [Pg.188]

The kiln, 220 feet long and 15 feet in diameter, is equipped with a four stage preheater similar in layout to the Genstar plant. Whole tires are fed, one at a time, into the riser duct just above the kiln feed housing through a trap door and isolation chamber. Tires are handled using a conveyor and elevator system that picks up one tire at a time. [Pg.63]

Plot plan or equipment and main piping layout and pertinent elevation drawings, including surface drainage arrangements. ... [Pg.31]

When the diagram is laid out, it is only necessary to show the relative elevation of the process connections to the equipment where they affect the process operation for example, the net positive suction head (NPSH) of pumps, barometric legs, siphons, and the operation of thermosyphon reboilers. Full details of pipe layout are usually shown in a different drawing, known as a piping isometric drawing. See Figure 5.19 for an example. [Pg.237]

Cardboard cutouts of the equipment outlines can be used to make trial plant layouts. Simple models, made up from rectangular and cylindrical blocks, can be used to study alternative layouts in plan and elevation. Cutouts and simple block models can also be used for site layout studies. Once the layout of the major pieces of equipment has been... [Pg.1072]

DetailedLayout The detailed layout specifies the locations of main equipment and equipment elevations. [Pg.122]

Figure 7-60. In this example of yard piping layout, notice how the elevations have been governed by headroom requirements over the North-South road. The elevation also sets the height of the first platform of the exchanger supporting structure. Figure 7-60. The value of H- is useful when elevation adjustments are made to vessel heights during plant layout or when the vessel can be located at a minimum elevation. The coefficient for P2 in the above equation is the elevation difference between the downcomer and rizer nozzle. If this is other than 3 feet, the correct dimension, in feet, should be inserted. [Pg.248]
