In view of these circumstances, so far results from the use of IA models to substantiate an adequate ecological policy have been rather limited, and this refers even to purely didactic assessments on the basis of simple models. Abstract Herein is presented a review of the content of the chapters written by specialists from different institutions in Russia, Uzbekistan, France, Germany, and USA, devoted to different aspects of the Aral Sea problem - from paleohistory and archaeology of the Aral Sea region, to the present physical, chemical, and biological state of the sea, analysis of the Amudarya and Syrdarya river runoff and their deltas, description of regional climate change, as well as discussion of socioeconomic conditions in the Aral Sea regions and reasons for the envirmunental and socio-economic crisis.

The statistical collection and representation of the weather conditions for a specified area during a specified time interval, usually decades, together with a description of the state of the external system or boundary conditions. Bruckner (1890) first identified climatic cycles by analyzing meteorological records (the so-called Bruckner cycle of 35 years). 

Little information has been published on the climatic and geographical factors affecting the composition of CBA fats.
