A wide range of indicators are being used in the description of the environmental impacts of agriculture. Particularly, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) pushes the development of a common set of indicators at an international level. The assessment presented here is based on the Driver-State-Response (DSR) framework that has been developed by the OECD in (OECD 1997). This frameworkis internationally accepted and allows cross-country comparisons. Whenever appropriate, simplifications and modifications have been made.

To ensure a unified product, two coordinating mechanisms were adopted. In regards to these needs, the HELENA Web-based problem-specific database application was extended with modules for storing biographical data of interviewees, question and answers of interviewees, and special reports for cross-country comparison of results. 

It is significant that the detailed calculation in addition to the quotation enables a detailed post-costing of individual components of the mold and the construction effort as well as a clear, orderly documentation of this data for the use in new calculations. This results in the reduced subsequent computational effort, while improving the accuracy.
