Some of the many available kinds of size reduction equipment can be described here. Manufacturers catalogs have the most complete descriptions of the equipment and almost always provide typical or expected performance data. Useful compilations of such information are by Taggart (1945) and the Chemical Engineers Handbook (1984, Section 8, as well as older editions). [Pg.341]

Information about equipment sizes, configurations, and sometimes performance is best found in manufacturers catalogs and manufacturers web sites, and from advertisements in the journal literature, such as Chemical Engineering and Hydrocarbon Processing. It should be understood that a complete and final catalog of pollutants and their effects cannot be given new substances are constantly entering the terrestrial chemical network, and negative effects often become apparent only after a considerable time.
