Calculation Options

A number of additional feature.s arc available in the commercial vension Viewer Pro, especially more impoi t and expoi t formats, and display and calculation options. 

Commercial computer computation services are being set up to provide shortcut calculation options. These provide considerable savings for preliminary design studies.

The use of any of the above types of code is no substitute for an understanding of the issues involved in relief system sizing. Indeed, many codes offer a range of calculation options, some of which do not make safe assumptions for relief sizing purposes. The use of such codes, without adequate understanding, can result in inadequate relief sizes.

When calcnlating option prices in a one-factor model, a frequently made assnmption is that the process is driven by the short rate often with a mean reversion featnre linked to the short rate. There are several popnlar models which fall into this category, for example, the Vasicek model, and the Cox, Ingersoll, and Ross model both of which will be discussed in more detail later. Calculating option prices in a two-factor model involves both the short- and long-term rates linked by a mean reversion process.

Furthermore it is worth mentioning, that the apiphcation of the Ekill / Ealive technique requires a sensible adjustment of the ANSYS calculation option in order to guarantee convergence. In particular option for an adaptive time integration scheme, non-Unear geometry, and the SPARSE solver is recommended.
