Boron tris borate

ESTERIFICATION Boric acid. Boron tri-fluoride ethcratc. Hcxamcthylphosphoric ttiamidc. lon-cxchange resins. Methyl f-butyl ether. Tricthyloxonium fluoro-borate. Trimethyl phosphite. [Pg.584]

The first organic compound of boron was isolated by Frankland in 1862, by the interaction of zinc methyl and triethyl borate. This method and the use of zinc alkyls with boron trichloride was continued until the discovery of the Grignard reagent. In 1900 boron tri-methyl was prepared by the action of magnesium methyl iodide on trimethyl borate, and in 1921 a number of boron trialkyls were obtained by the interaction of magnesium alkyl halides and boron trifluoride. Of the derivatives of the type RgB, boron trimethyl is a gas, spontaneously inflammable in air boron triethyl, a spontaneously inflammable liquid whilst the higher members of the series are liquids, readily oxidised when exposed to air. The metl yL fpd ethyl derivatives combine with ammonia to foriii IliS type I BOH only... [Pg.219]

We have prepared Enk with ferrocene and cobaltocenium carboxylic acid attached to its amino end [38]. In a series of papers, we have explored the use of the tris(pyrazolyl)borate (Tp) ligand family [39-41]. Boron-functionalized,... [Pg.201]

Boron is determined by oxidation of tri(sec-butyl)borane to 2-butanol.911,12 A 4.0-mL aliquot of the potassium tri(sec-butyl)hydro-borate(l — ) solution is hydrolyzed by adding it, with stirring, to a mixture of... [Pg.28]

The further new nitroethyl compounds based on boron esters are tris-(2-nitro-ethyl) borate and tris-(2,2,2-trinitroethyl) borate. Especially the trinitroethyl derivative is a suitable candidate for high energy density oxidizers and for smoke-free, green coloring agents in pyrotechnic compositions. Tris-(2-nitroethyl) borate and tris-(2,2,2-trinitroethyl) borate can be obtained from boron oxide with 2-nitroetha-nol and 2,2,2-trinitroethanol, respectively ... [Pg.34]

Wang [3] polymerized ethylene using boron containing activators tris(penta-fluorophenyl)-borane, (II), and lithium tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)borate, (III). Using tris(pentafluorophenyl)-borane, (II), with alumoxane, Arriola [4] prepared poly(ethylene-co-propylene) and polypropylene. [Pg.487]

This methane based tris-NHC ligand system behaves very similar to its boron based analogue. The most obvious difference is of course its neutral charge compared with the monoanionic borate ligand. As a consequence, the corresponding silver complex [ Agj HC(MeBenzIm)3 )2](BF )3, although supposedly isostructural with the borate complex... [Pg.153]

Zwitterionic structures with a borate anion covalently attached to a cyclopentadienyl donor can be obtained by a number of synthetic approaches. In the known compounds, the means by which the borate is tethered to the ring has a significant impact on the properties of the zwitterions. In particular, the length of the tether connecting the ring with the borate is crucial for the stability and intramolecular ion-ion contacts. For example tris cyclopentadienyl zirconium betaine complex in which boron atom is directly bonded to Cp can be generated from boron substituted cyclopentadienyl anion (equation 21). ... [Pg.5299]

For the nomenclature of these ligands (Scheme 2) we adopt a scheme derived from that of the tris(pyrazolyl)borate ligands. We call the bis(thioimidazolyl)hydroborate RBmx and the tris(thio-midazolyl)hydroborate RTmx with x naming the substituent at the 1-positions of the imidazole rings and R the substituent at boron atom. [Pg.184]

Numerous elements (e.g.. Be, Fe, Ge, Mo, Ti) form coloured complexes with curcumin, and interfere in the determination of boron. Oxidants (e.g., HNO3), and substances forming stable complexes with boron (e.g., HF), also interfere. In general, therefore, boron is first separated by distillation as tri methyl borate. [Pg.122]
