Biodynamic techniques

For a long time there has been private, in-house quality research, especially in the biodynamic sector and by some larger organic traders and processors. These vary from crystallisation techniques to broad screen residue analyses of raw materials. These in-house quality management schemes are not standard they depend on how seriously the companies take their responsibility towards their clients and/or want to avoid surprises by the food authorities.

Biodynamic models of the human musculoskeletal system have direct implications on device tool design and use and the modeling of normal and/or abnormal (or undesired) movements or movement patterns (the techniques with which a device or tool is used). Applications of the models can provide a better understanding for soft and hard tissue injuries, such as repetitive strain injuries (RSI), and can be used to identify and predict the extent of a musculoskeletal injury (Peterson, 1999). 

For certain problems where constraint forces are considered, a Newtonian approach, or the aj li-cation of both techniques, may be necessary. The following sections will present some applications of Lagrange s equation as qiplicable to human anatmnical biodynamics. Other mechanically based examples are easily found within the cited literature (Baruh, 19W Moon, 1998 Wells, 1967). 

As the technology improves, becomes more reliable and gets smaller, so more and more uses are likely to be found for it. Of particular interest (especially where there are restrictions on inputs such as low input, organic or biodynamic farming), are those techniques that allow crop weeding to occur accurately within a crop by mechanical means.
