The Beta rating system is simple in concept and can be used to measure and predict the performance of a wide variety of filter cartridges under specified conditions. The rating system is based on measuring the total particle counts at several different particle sizes, in both the influent and effluent streams, a profile of removal efficiency emerges for any given filter. [Pg.226]
