Pumps, compressors, turbines, drivers, and auxiliary machinery should be designed to provide reliable, rugged performance. Pump selection and performance depend on the capacity required and tlie nature of Uie fluids involved. Remotely controlled power switches and shutoff valves are necessary to control fluid flow during an emergency. The inlets for air compressors should be strategically located to prevent the intake of hazardous materials.

Smooth starts are possible with steam turbine installations that include an auxiliary boiler because the startup phases of the turbocompressor can be matched to different plant operating conditions. The decisive element in exocytosis is the interaction between proteins known as SNAREs that are located on the vesicular membrane (v-SNAREs) and on the plasma membrane (t-SNAREs). In the resting state (1), the v-SNARE synaptobrevin is blocked by the vesicular protein synaptotagmin. Two manufacturers of processing equipment are Engitech Impianti CX [4] and Battery Recycling Industries (formerly MA Industries) (Fig. 15.1). These companies supply whole battery-breaking operations or selected machinery for parts of the process, as required by the smelter. Other important sources of direct pollution of rivers are the wastes from the industrial production plants for pesticides, wastes from households, and from the cleaning of application machinery and auxiliary equipment.
