Numerous applications for biocides have been found in fields as diverse as ethical pharmaceuticals and cat litter products. The aim of this Cl book is two-fold to provide a comprehensive guide to the use of biocides across a range of applications and to aid in the selection of a biocide that is "fit for purpose". It covers a Cl cross-section of traditional measures, novel ideas and innovative developments, as well as addressing the biocides market, the political outlook and future trends of biocide use. 

Recent results have been summarized in a number of articles, especially in this journal.17-19 This review will focus on newly developed HMBC pulse sequences and application on small to medium-sized organic molecules. After a short introduction into basic theory, a selection of pulse sequences and a look at the large variety of applications will complete the overview of the HMBC experiment. Finally, a brief summary and outlook to future perspectives of HMBC will be given.

Some of the standards based PKI-enabled application include Internet Explorer, Encrypting File System, IPSec, Outlook , and Outlook Express. 

Conventional uses of methanol account for 90% of present consumption and include formaldehyde, dimethyl terephthalate, methyl methacrylate, methyl halides, methylamines and various solvent and other applications. Newer uses for methanol that have revitalized its growth and outlook include a new technology for acetic acid, single cell protein, methyl tertiary butyl ether-(MTBE), and water denitrification. Potential uses for methanol include its use as a carrier for coal in pipelines, as a source of hydrogen or synthesis gas used in direct reduction of iron ore, as a direct additive to or a feedstock for gasoline, peak power shaving and other fuel related possibilities. Table II lists the world methanol demand by end use in 1979. 

Summarizing the state-of-the-art and outlook for printed displays, it is clear that opportimities do exist for printing displays, particularly on the low end of performance. Within the next few years, opportrmities for such systems will become clearer. A key driver for such displays is the ability to integrate transistors for active matrix display addressing. Thus, the next topic in this chapter will focus on applications that are more transistor-centric. 

Figure 13.1 illustrates the major fields of application of IPC in recent years. This chapter aims to impose order on the complex welter of IPC separations it gives a brief overview and outlook covering recent applications of IPC in diverse analytical fields. For the sake of brevity, only the most significant recent publications on analytical applications are cited we made no attempt to include an exhaustive survey of the literature. This paper gives a short overview of density functional calculations mainly based on the DV-Xa approach organized as follows. A short overview of Density Functional Theory, DFT, and Kohn-Sham equations is given in section II followed by a summary of different ways of solution of the Kohn-Sham equations in Sec. III. Comparisons of results from some old and some up-to-date density functional electronic structure calculations made by our group to show applications to clusters, surfaces, adsorbates on surfaces and Ceo are given in Sec. IV. Conclusions and outlook are summarized in Sec. V.
