Antigenicity involvement

Class 1 MHC molecules are integral membrane proteins found on the surface of all nucleated cells and platelets. They are the classical antigens involved in graft rejection.

MBP or MBP peptides are very commonly used to induce EAE. The MBP-induced disease in some strains of mice is often monophasic with inflammation and no demyelination.
