ANSI specifications

The ANSI specifications allow the use of both RF and RTJ flanges. API RP 14E recommends RTJ flanges for ANSI Class 900 and higher and recommends RTJ flanges be used in 600 ANSI service subject to vibration. Onshore it is common to use RF flanges for ANSI classes through 2500. 

The horizontal pumps are available for capacities up to 900 m /h (4000 gahmin) the vertical in-line pumps, for capacities up to 320 m /h (1400 gahmin). Both horizontal and vertical in-line pumps are available for heads up to 120 m (400 ft). The intent of each ANSI specification is that pumps from all vendors for a given nominal capacity and total dynamic head at a given rotative speed shall be dimensionally interchangeable with respect to mounting, size, and location of suction and discharge nozzles, input shaft, base plate, and foundation bolts. 

ASTM Specifications. Four specifications for permanent-record paper (20) were developed at NBS through research sponsored by the National Archives and Records Service (NARS), other U.S. government agencies, and SAA. These also are ANSI specifications. 

ANSI Specifications for Library Cards. This paper was designed for a specific purpose for which both durability and permanence are important. Although the minimum pH of 5.5 does not provide maximum permanence, it makes possible the use of a sizing that can enhance durability (33).

Side protection ANSI Z87 compliant safety glasses vary dramatically in the amount of side protection provided. When I inspected a number of designs on the market, I was surprised to find that some styhsh designs, while looking good, offered limited side protection, while other well-designed glasses provided as much as additional side protection beyond the ANSI specification. With the plating of fasteners, some special considerations apply, particularly in respect to threads (Ref 8). As might be expected, electroplated metals build up faster on apexes of the threads, and coverage can be minimal at the bottom of the grooves. ANSI Specification B 1.1 states that compared to flat surfaces, plating thickness builds up six times faster on the major diameter than the minor diameter and that this results in a fourfold buildup on the pitch diameter, as illustrated in Fig. S. Standard ceramic tQe adhesives of good quality need approximately 1.5 to 3 % of redispersible powder on total dry mix. They meet the new European Norm for tile adhesives (mostly only Cl level) and pass also the ANSI specification 118.4and 118.11. Larger formatted tiles can be apphed with these materials over porous or less porous, dimensionally stable substrates. They are suitable for interior as well as exterior application. For standard apphcations these modified mortars provide higher quality security and a certain long-term stabihty, very much depending on the factors like climate conditions, weight traffic etc.
