Androderm

Androderm, anotiier transdermal system, is applied nightly to clean, dry skin on the abdomen, tiiigh, back, or upper arm. This system is not applied to die scrotum. Sites are rotated, witii 7 days between application to any specific site The system is applied immediately after opening the pouch and removing die protective covering. If the patient has not exhibited a therapeutic response after 8 weeks of tiierapy, another form of testosterone replacement therapy should be considered.

Androderm - The usual starting dose is one 5 mg system or two 2.5 mg systems applied nightly for 24 hours, providing a total dose of 5 mg/day. 

Androderm - Following application to nonscrotal skin, testosterone is continuously absorbed during the 24-hour dosing period. Daily application of 2 systems at approximately 10 00 p.m. results in a serum testosterone concentration profile that mimics the normal circadian variation observed in healthy young men. Maximum concentrations occur in the early morning hours with minimum concentrations in the evening.

Androderm is an FDA-approved membrane-moderated transdermal patch that delivers testosterone. Androderm is manufactured in two sizes and both are 24-h patches. The round Androderm patch contains 12.2 mg of testosterone and delivers a 2.5-mg dose over a 24-h period. The larger oval patch contains 24.3 mg of testosterone and delivers 5 mg over a 24-h period. The reservoir of Androderm contains testosterone gelled with alcohol and glycerin.
