Poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) (1) resins are semicrystalline thermoplastics used in a wide variety of applications, most commonly in durable goods that are formed by injection molding. Applications include electronic and communications equipment, computers, televisions, kitchen and household appliances, industrial equipment, lighting systems, gardening and agricultural equipment, pumps, medical devices, food handling systems, handles, power and hand tools, bobbins and spindles, and automotive parts in both under-the-hood and exterior applications. Additionally, PBT is very widely used to form electrical connectors. PBT, through its many blended products, can be tailored to suit numerous applications.

In the cleanup 30 000 m2 of polluted sand was treated essentially as in the field trial, except that agricultural equipment was used for applying the bacteria and fertilizer and for tilling. Since the cleanup took place in winter, it was not necessary to water. It should be noted that the winter of 1992 was unusually hard for Israel, and temperatures were around 5—10 °C for a couple of months. The results of the experiment indicated that even under these conditions 88% of the oil was degraded after 4 months, whereas no significant degradation was measured in control plots.

Formulation also may involve integrating the pathogens into a weed management system. Researchers have found both beneficial and detrimental interactions between commonly used insecticides, herbicides, and weed pathogens (44 45). In such a system the problems of application are magnified. Application can include new or conventional agricultural equipment and variables such as when, where, and how the formulation is applied. Of course, the researcher makes compromises in this complex matrix in an effort for maximum efficiency at minimum cost.

Another approach is to cool and filter the gas and utilize it as an alternative fuel for internal combustion engines. Skov and Papworth, (2), described the operation of trucks, buses, and agricultural equipment in Europe with gas produced using portable wood fueled gasifiers. Gasifiers can also be used to operate diesel engines as described in (6) and (9). 

Representative of agricultural equipment suppliers is the National Association of Silo Manufacturers in Norwich, N. Y. Data on production, sales, production facilities, labor, capital invested, and tonnage of critical materials used for silos are prepared annually.

As always, thorough testing of a specific application should precede specification. New research has led to improved commercially available models that are finding use in applications previously thought unsuitable for cyanoacrylates. Where appropriate, cyanoacrylates can increase productivity dramatically and reduce fundamental costs, to produce high-integrity parts for aircraft, industrial, agricultural equipment, electronic, automotive, and maintenance applications. 

In the laboratories of the agricultural equipment manufacturers Allis-Chalmers, a new version of fuel cell with immobilized alkaline electrolyte solution was developed. The company reequipped one of its tractors to electric traction with an electric motor powered by four batteries consisting of 252 alkaline fuel cells each. The traction was strong enough for a load of 3000 pounds. This tractor was a successful demonstration exhibited on different agricultural fairs in the United States. 

It has good resistance to diesel oil and petrol and applications include agricultural equipment, constmction plant and industrial machinery.
