Agilent Technologies

The author wishes to acknowledge the efforts of his various research students from whose work some of the applications presented here have been drawn. In particular, I have enjoyed the excellent partnership in the pioneering PhD research of Mr (now Dr) Russell Kinghom. In addition, the provision of a gas chromatograph by Agilent Technologies and columns from SGE International have enabled our work to progress. [Pg.106]

The LCQ and LCQ DECA are products of Thermo Electron Corporation (San Jose, CA) the Q-TOF is a product of Waters (Beverly, MA) the QSTAR, ProQUANT, and ProICAT are products of Applied Biosystems (Foster City, CA) and Spectrum Mill and the MSD TRAP XCT are products of Agilent Technologies (Palo Alto, CA). [Pg.247]

We typically use RNA purification by the Trizol method (Invitrogen, following the manufacturer s instructions), which has the advantage over column-based methods that it can purify small amounts of RNA and retain miRs. Purified RNA is dissolved in RJNAse-free water and stored at —80°. RNA quality is assessed on an Agilent Bioanalyzer (Agilent Technologies) or by gel electrophoresis. [Pg.128]

Procedure Phenolic acids were detected between 210 and 360 nm using a Hewlett Packard diode array detector (HP 1100 HPLC system). The separation was achieved with a Nucleosil 100-5 C18 column 5 pm 4.0x250 mm (Agilent Technologies, USA) at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min and injection volume of 5 mL. For the elution, a discontinuous acetonitrile-water gradient was used 15% acetonitrile (5 min), 30% acetonitrile (20 min), 40% acetonitrile (25 min), 60% acetonitrile (30 min), 60% acetonitrile (35 min) and... [Pg.181]
