Agilent HP

In the US market, there are two major brands of commercially available CE instruments Agilent (HP ° CE System) and Beckman (PA 800). Agilent uses a PDA detector, while the Beckman instrument uses a UV, PDA, or LIF detector. For CE-SDS, we have compared CE... [Pg.370]

Different capillary columns are available for organic acid separation and analysis. In our laboratory, the gas chromatography column in all GC-MS applications is crosslinked 5% phenyl (poly)methyl silicone, 25 m internal diameter 0.20 mm stationary phase film thickness 0.33 pm (Agilent HP-5, DB-5, or equivalent). Several instrument configurations are commercially available, which allow for positive identification of compounds by their mass spectra obtained in the electron impact ionization mode. A commercially available bench-top GC-MS system with autosampler (Agilent 6890/5973, or equivalent) is suitable. Software for data analysis is available and recommended. The use of a computer library of mass spectra for comparison and visualization of the printed spectra is required for definitive identification and interpretation of each patient specimen. [Pg.148]

Coaxial line reflectometry (6.3.3) 1 MHz-1 GHz The sample capacitor is placed at the end of a low-loss precision coaxial impedance is determined from complex reflection factor, measured with a microwave reflectometer at analyzer end of coaxial line Special sample cells are available for sample thicknesses ranging from 1 pm (thin films) to 20 mm (liquids or solid samples) The turnkey BDS concept 70 system, available from Novocontrol, combines the Agilent HP E4991A RF impedance analyzer with the BDS 2200 RF sample cell the complex permeability of polymers can also be measured by using a magnetic sample cell... [Pg.594]

Esi-ms measurements were performed on a Agilent LC M,SD system with the following operational parameters capillary voltage 4.0 kV, cone voltage, 50 V and solvent flow (methanol - water, 50% v/v) 0.3 inL/min. All esi mass specttal data in the positive ion mode were acquired and processed using HP Chem.Station software. The concenttation of aluminum was 0.5 mmol dm while that of mfx were varied in the interval 0.5-1.0 mmol dm. The pH values were pH 4.0, 6.0, 7.2 and 8.5. The specttum obtained at A1 to mfx concenttation ratio 1 2 and pH 4.0 is shown in Fig. 1. [Pg.364]

Procedure Phenolic acids were detected between 210 and 360 nm using a Hewlett Packard diode array detector (HP 1100 HPLC system). The separation was achieved with a Nucleosil 100-5 C18 column 5 pm 4.0x250 mm (Agilent Technologies, USA) at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min and injection volume of 5 mL. For the elution, a discontinuous acetonitrile-water gradient was used 15% acetonitrile (5 min), 30% acetonitrile (20 min), 40% acetonitrile (25 min), 60% acetonitrile (30 min), 60% acetonitrile (35 min) and... [Pg.181]

Biotransformation samples were analysed by HPLC using a C18 Hypersil ODS 5p column (125 mm x 3 mm) and a Hewlett Packard HP 1100 instrument equipped with an Agilent 1100 series diode array detector. The samples were isocratically eluted using an aqueous phosphoric acid (0.1 % v/v)/methanol mix (70 30 (v/v)) at a flow rate of 0.5 mL min ... [Pg.382]

Agilent GC-MS ChemStation System equipped with capillary gas chromatograph HP 5972,5973, or 6890 series Agilent 6890 series autosampler. The GC-MS system is operated in the positive-ion, electron-impact ionization mode. Chromatographic parameters of the acquisition method are listed in Table 3.1.7. TIC is recorded over the mass range m/z 50-550, and the total run time is 33 min. [Pg.148]

Figure 3.1—Schematic of an HPLC system and example of a modular commercial HPLC. A modular system allows users to tailor the instrument to their needs and budget. The HP 1100 chromatograph equipped with an autosampler and a mass detector that allows continuous operation is shown (reproduced by permission of Agilent Technologies). Regulation of the temperature of the column greatly improves the reproducibility of the separation. Figure 3.1—Schematic of an HPLC system and example of a modular commercial HPLC.
