Additives detergents formulas

Primary antibody diluted with inappropriate buffer. Use of PBS or TBS as an antibody diluent. Lack of stabilizing or carrier protein. Detergent in diluent. Check formula and compatibility of antibody diluent. A change of ion content and/or pH of the antibody diluent can cause a diminution in the sensitivity of the antibody. Addition of NaCI should be avoided. This problem is primarily seen with monoclonal antibodies. 57-60... [Pg.138]

The formula standards for RFG are as follows maximum of 1 wt% benzene, maximum of 25 wt% total aromatic content, 2wt% minimum of oxygen, no metals and detergent additives. [Pg.2627]

Hydrotropes are often added to an LDLD to help solubilize certain surfactants or other materials that are not easily soluble in water to ensure the stability of the formulation. The fundamental properties of hydrotropes and their hydrotropic action in liquid detergents are discussed in Chapter 2. The addition of a hydrotrope affects the formula viscosity and cloud/clear points. [Pg.176]

The formula is based on a combining weight for coconut-oil fatty acids of 210. The proportion should be changed according to the combining weight of the particular fatty acid to be used. All the triethanolamine may be replaced by an additional 5.6 pounds of monoethanol amine to increase the detergency of the shampoo. [Pg.292]

Compared to the commonly used anionic and nonionic surfactants, amphoter-ics/betaines are generally mild, with lower skin and eye irritation. Amphoter-ics/betaines can therefore be used in laundry products where mildness is an important criteria, like laundry detergents for baby clothing and for sensitive skin people. Fine-fabric wash formulas can also benefit from addition of amphoteric/betaine surfactants. Laundry bar formulations can incorporate amphoteric/betaine surfactants in order to improve the mildness on hands. [Pg.93]
