A Compiling

Similar ligand-ligand interactions have been reported for a large number of ternary -amino acid complexes, built up of two different amino acid.s. A compilation of 72 examples is presented in reference 39. The extra stabilisation due to ligand-ligand interactions in these complexes depends on the character of the amino-acid side chains and amounts to 0.34 - 0.57 kJ/mole for combinations of aromatic and aliphatic side chains and 0.11 - 6.3 kJ/mole when arene - arene interactions are possible. ... 

Gaussian is designed to execute as a batch job. It can readily be used with common batch-queueing systems. The program may be purchased as source code or executables and comes with hundreds of sample input and output files. These may be employed as examples of how to construct inputs. They may also be employed to verify that a compilation from source code was successful. In our experience, such verification is essential. 

Compilation of parameters makes HyperChem more efficient. It replaces a set of text or dBASE files (for one parameter set) by a single binary. par file. The compilation can be performed at any time from within HyperChem by selecting the parameter set (Setup/Select Parameter Set) and requesting a compilation (Setup/Compile Parameters). If the parameter files are not modified, you do not have to compile them. 

A compilation of some 2200 liquid compounds has been prepared by J. J. Jasper, J. Phys. Chem. Reference Data 1 841 (1972). 

Table 7.8 contains values of p,/p for the common target elements employed in X-ray work. A more extensive set of mass absorption coefficients for K, L, and M emission lines within the wavelength range from 0.7 to 12 A is contained in Heinrich s paper in T. D. McKinley, K. F. J. Heinrich, and D. B. Wittry (eds.). The Electron Microprobe, Wiley, New York, 1966, pp. 351-377. This article should be consulted to ascertain the probable accuracy of the values and for a compilation of coefficients and exponents employed in the computations.

A composite curve of heat of infinite dilution of oleum from reported data (3,88—90) is presented in a compiled form in the Hterature (91), where heats of formation of oleums from Hquid or gaseous SO are also reported (Tables 5 and 6). Heat of vaporization data are also available (92). Oleum heat capacity data are presented in Figure 18 (76) solubiUty data for SO2 in oleum can be found in Reference 69.

Although many provisions of various Tides affect transportation. Tides 49 (Transportation) and 46 (Shipping) are of particular iaterest. Among other important statutes iacluded ia Tide 49 are the ICC Termination Act of 1995 ( 10101 et seql), the Department of Transportation Act ( 101 et seql), and the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act ( 5101 et seq.). Tide 46 collects various statutes pertaining primarily to water transportation. 

A number of reviews have appeared covering the various aspects of borate glasses. The stmcture, physical properties, thermochemistry, reactions, phase equihbria, and electrical properties of alkah borate melts and glasses have been presented (73). The apphcation of x-ray diffraction, nmr, Raman scattering, in spectroscopy, and esr to stmctural analysis is available (26). Phase-equihbrium diagrams for a large number of anhydrous borate systems are included in a compilation (145), and thermochemical data on the anhydrous alkah metal borates have been compiled (17). 

The solubihty of carbon monoxide in a variety of solvents at 928 K is given in Table 5 (18), and a detailed discussion of the solubiHty of carbon monoxide in water has been provided (19). A compilation of early Hterature values is given (20). 

Copyright in a compilation does not extend to, affect, or enlarge the protection of the underlying preexisting materials. Rather, it is only the original expression contributed by the author of the compilation, such as the selection of articles in an encyclopedia, to which the compilation copyright extends. 

Second, a work may be a work made for hire if it is specially ordered or commissioned and meets both of the following requirements (/) it must be a contribution to a collective work, part of a motion picture or other audiovisual work, translation, a supplementary work, a compilation, an instmctional text, a test, answer material for a test, or an atias and (2) the parties must expressly agree in a written instmment signed by them that the work is to be considered a work made for hire. 

From 1980 through 1987, the market price fluctuated between 395 and 595 per metric ton, ending up at 550 per ton in 1987 (1,10). Since the beginning of 1990, the U.S. contract price for bulk quantities of cumene has shown a general downward trend. A compilation of prices from then until the end of April 1992 shows prices starting the period at 520 per metric ton. For a brief period from late 1990 to early 1991, the price rose to levels around 550 per ton, but from then until April 1992, the price decreased to a steady value of 425 per ton (11). 

Before using diffusivities from either data or correlations, it is a good idea to check their reasonableness with respect to values that have been commonly observed in similar situations. Table 5-13 is a compilation of sever rules of thumb. These values are not authoritative they simply represent guidelines based on experience. 

Table 1 is a compilation of chemical and physical properties data for selected atmospheric contaminants. This information is useful for evaluating pollution problems. The following are abbreviations used in the table.

CCPS, 1989b, Process Equipment Reliability Data (Table 4.1-1) is a compilation of chemical and nuclear data. It assesses failure rates for 75 types of chemical process equipment. A taxonomic classification is established and data such as the mean, median, upper and lower (95% and 5%) values, source of information, failure by time and failure by demands are presented. 

Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a compilation and evaluation of inputs, outputs, and the potential environmental impacts of a product system throughout its life cycle. The LCA methodology is comprehensively described based on the ISO 14000 series standards. References are also given to I.CA information sources. 

A systematic approach was undertaken for the BRP PRA to identify all potential sources of common mode failure. The first step in the treatment of common mode failures was a compilation of a detailed list of common mode initiators. To achieve this, available literature on common mode failure analysis was reviewed. The next step was to qualitatively assess the potential effects of these initiators on BRP systems. The initiator categories and the systems selected for examination are presented in Table VI.1 of the BRP PRA.
