Zeste

Toss the diced fiaiit and the orange with die lemon zest, sugar and die Recioto or port and allow die fiaiit to macerate for about an hour. 

Put the liquid ingredients in a saucepan. Add die lemon zest, pierced with the cloves. Warm for about 2 minutes over medium heat but do not boil. Strain. Serve in a tempered-glass mug. Garnish widi currants.

We hope nobody takes our reply comments personally. Both some of the comments and some of our responses are energetic, because we seem to have touched on a subject that turned out to be somewhat controversial. The best recipes for clam chowder all include onions and a bay leaf. The onions add a sharpness and zest to the blandness of the clams, and also help remove their slimy texture. The bay leaf complements the onion s strong flavor. 

During the same period Mark was active on behalf of German scientists, he was nominated by Chaim Weizmann to head the Scientific Planning Committee of the newly established Weizmann Institute. Throwing himself into the job with unusual zest, he visited Rehovot the summer of 1946 despite the threat of terrorist attacks, and ascertained first hand the requirements of the Institure.
