Workgroup relations

WGR (Workgroup Relations) in non-medical fields is the equivalent of TTR (Treatment Team Relations) in healthcare. 

The workshop followed the familiar Pellston formula. A preliminary review was completed and made available to all participants prior to the workshop. At the workshop, workgroups were assigned to consider specific issues identified in plenary sessions, to gather feedback on the utility of reviewed methods, to suggest new or modified ones, and to consider case study substances in relation to the proposed extrapolation methods. These activities were used to prioritize questions and to help formulate a framework (table of contents) for dealing with extrapolation issues in ERA. We used this framework and, with individual contributions from the workshop participants, developed this book. This book incorporates a review and discussion of the tools currently available for extrapolation of ecological effects and the science upon which these are based.

Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) a task force formed in 1991 by the Secretary of Health and Human Services to develop recommendations for government and industry relating to the advancement of electronic data in health care. WEDI s steering committee consists of senior executives from more than 25 insurance and health care organizations, wrap-around coverage or plan insurance to cover copays or deductible not covered by a basic insurance plan. 

Minimal Risk Level Review. The Minimal Risk Level Workgroup considers issues relevant to substance-related minimal risk levels (MRLs), reviews the health effects database of each profile, and makes recommendations for derivation of MRLs. 

Research and practice suggest that diversity—the representation of multiple identity groups and their cultures in a particular organization or workgroup—by itself may not necessarily result in positive benefits without the presence of additional conditions. Inclusion has emerged as a core concept in relation to diversity in particular, it is now considered by diversity practitioners as a key approach to benefit from diversity (see Ferdman Deane, Preface) and is in many ways at the forefront of contemporary...

Seiri refers to the need to separate and retain only those things that are necessary for the tasks undertaken by the workgroup. It requires the identification and removal of superfluous materials and process steps. It directly relates to safety performance insofar as many accidents occur from non-added value activity. Examples of tasks which add cost and hazards without adding value include storage and transportation of product in warehouses.
