Windows current window design

Notice that these exercises have the three-part window design described earlier, with the top portion reserved for instructions or feedback, the middle containing the current story or problem, and the lowermost reserved for student response. For the mapping exercises, the lower portion of the window contains a diagram. To make a response, the student selects a part of the story or problem text and places it in the diagram. (Exact technical details of response and feedback are described later in this chapter.)... 

The confluence of sharply rising Operations and Maintenance (O M) costs. NRC requested Individual Plant Examinations (IPEs) and increased personal computer capabilities gave rise to the R R Workstation. Its uses and maintains-current PSA models and databases for individual plants to perform O M planning and scheduling, and uses the PSA in IPE models to identify plant design, procedure and operational vulnerabilities. The Risk and Reliability Workstation Alliance was organized by EPRI to support the R R Workshop in order to achieve O M cost reduction, plant productivity and safety enhancement through risk-based, user-friendly, windowed software louls (Table 3.6 8). The Alliance, initiated in 1992, includes 25 U.S. utilities and four international partners from Spain, France, Korea, and Mexico. SAIC is the prime contractor for the R R Workstation, with participation of five other PSA vendors. 

Unfortunately, most of these applications are designed for their specific tasks only. There is currently no software architecture that integrates them into a network that would enable intelligent interaction between them. This is where the future lies. For example, a sensor could recognize the opening of a window and make the heating control of a radiator shut down. The same information about the window could also be built into a security system that would then check what caused the window to open. An alarm would be set off if the person who opened it is not recognized.

The Add 3S Global button adds a library so that all projects can use the library. The Add to Design button adds the library for the current project only. If you look in the list of libraries, all libraries that have an asterisk added to the name are global libraries and available to all projects. Libraries without an asterisk are only available to the current project. If we scroll the window to the right, we can see that the library we added does have an asterisk added to the name ... 

Single filament design beam current and beam width are determined by a heated linear filament. Because the current extractable from a unit length of the single filament is limited, multifilament configurations are often used. This also improves the uniformity of the current distribution, which is usually less homogeneous than that obtained in scanning horn processors.58 The beam width is limited by the necessity to span the filament across the full width of the exit window to a maximum of about 2 m (80 in.).

W. Rademacher has remarked that Pressac personally quotes a document by means of which 210 Gas door anchorings were ordered in Auschwitz. This document indicates that the term gas-tight ("gasdicht") does not necessarily constitute a reference to execution of disinfestation chambers, since it has never been claimed that there was a need for roughly one hundred doors for homicidal gas chambers at Auschwitz.290 It is entirely possible that all doors and windows were designated as gas tight if they were equipped with felt insulation and were, therefore, sealed off against air currents, a characteristic not at all common in windows for inmate barracks in a concentration camp.291...
