White space

The text form for parameters uses white space or commas to separate the fields (columns) of the parameter tiles. They can be read by ordinary text editors, w ord processors, etc. In the text form, param eters are easy to m odify but not easy to com pare, stn dy, etc. Many database program s are capable of reading column s of text as a database, h owever. Wh ile spreadsheets are n ot. per se, databases, they can be useful for examining parameter sets. Microsoft Excel, for example, can read the text form of a param eter file and pn t the data in a form easily manipulated as a matrix or a database. The text form of parameters are stored, by default only, in Tart files.

It is important that you make your programs readable. It is guaranteed that someone other than you will have to read your program at some point, and you want to make that task easy. A well-written SAS program has an ample supply of comments, employs white space to make the code pleasing to the eye, and uses a consistent case and indention style. The first organic free radical to be discovered was triphenylmethyl, the result of the effort of Gomberg to prepare hexaphenylethane.6 In geographical exploration, isolated white spaces on the map rarely contain anything strikingly different from the neighboring explored regions chemical exploration leads to all sorts of surprises. 

Keep the format easy to follow, too. You don t want a cramped, crowded resume. Leave some white space and make the important information jump out at the reader. 

Many people think that because a resume is only a one-page document (with lots of white space), they can construct it in a matter of minutes, without giving thought to the content or the overall appearance. This is a common misconception. If you attempt to take shortcuts when writing your a resume, your chances of capturing the attention of a potential employer and ultimately landing a job decrease dramatically. 

Make sure your cover letter is visually appealing and utilizes white space on the page. 

The input file format for both programs is fairly simple. An input file contains one or more sequences. A sequence must appear as a single line in the file without embedded white spaces. A sequence may be preceded by a special line starting with the > character followed by a sequence name. This name is used by RNAfold as the root name for the postscript output files for this sequence. 

The challenge is further complicated by the fact that most companies today do not have a good understanding of where to find the untapped business in the marketplace, and what price or margin potential exists for this white space . 

Woodhull (1997) suggests that identifying your time management style will help you to better know how to use your unscheduled time, or white spaces. She states that workaholics often have no white spaces in their schedules, which is unhealthy. She describes the four basic types of time managers ... 

Balance white space with text. Make the form aesthetically pleasing, not cluttered.

Save electronic figure hies with a minimum of white space around the edges. 

Although any information can be expressed by elements, sometimes a simpler notation would be sufficient. In XML, information without further internal structure can be provided inside start-tags as an attribute. The attribute syntax starts with its name and is restricted by the same rules as element names followed by an equal sign (=). The value of an attribute is given in text delimited by apostrophes (. . ) or quotes ( ... ). Names of elements are separated from attributes by white-space characters (spaces, tabulators, new lines). The same element is prohibited from having several attributes of the same name (<molecule name= benzene id= i4 />).

Remember that being on deadline does not allow time for a lengthy explanation or "the history of..." Try to find out specifically what the reporter needs to know, then provide answers (or help restructure their questions) without lecturing. Their impatience is not with the subject they re facing white space or dead air and the clock s ticking.
