For more than 30 years, the EDR mode has been the process of choice in the desalination industry. It is today applied in other ED applications (e.g., whey demineralization) by other companies too (http //www.ameridia.com). [Pg.286]

The present ED industry has experienced a steady growth rate of about 15% since 15 years (Srikanth, 2004).
