For the southern Baltic coast, a comprehensive survey about changes in species inventory was given by Schories et al. (2(X)6a) and the main results are summarized in Table 16.3. 

It must be taken into account that some of the species listed are not easy to determine ( critical species, compare Section 16.2.3.). However, some species seems to have been lost in this area for sure and, moreover, a shift in rough taxonomic composition of the flora seems to have occurred (Table 16.4).
