The pollutants characteristic of the industry wastewaters are summarized in Table 5.4 through Table 5.11, for both classical and toxic pollutants. The toxic pollutant data have been developed using a verification protocol established by U.S. EPA, with the exception of the following selenium, silver, thallium, and 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCCD). Table 5.12 presents the minimum detection limit for the toxic pollutants. Any value below the minimum limit is listed in the summary tables as below detection limit (BDL). [Pg.204]

The intention of this section is to provide a framework for validation, not a comprehensive set of requirements. It should be regarded as a minimum. The implementation of a validation exercise should be customised for each application and the documented intent contained in a validation or verification protocol as outlined in NMLK No. 4. ... [Pg.37]

It is worth noting that the aborted Verification Protocol to the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), in its chairman s draft of 2001, also contained an inspection system, called a clarification visit , which is comparable to the complementary access in the Additional Protocol of the lAEA. This clarification visit system was also designed to fill the gap between the declaration-based transparency visit and the challenge-type investigation . [Pg.94]

New companies are verified three years after joining CCPA using a comprehensive Responsible Care-in-Place Verification protocol, with subsequent verifications following a more focused protocol. Verification reports are made available to their local communities and other interested parties by the verified company. [Pg.278]

Both terms are allowed because scheme is the usual word with signature schemes, whereas protocol is usual with the 2-party and multi-party protocols mentioned below. If there is any distinction in the present context, then protocols are smaller than schemes, e.g., there is a verification protocol as a part of an invisible signature scheme. [Pg.40]

Signing and testing may be more than algorithms for instance, there is the interactive verification protocol of invisible signature schemes. Hence they must at least be defined as interactive programs. [Pg.50]

In Australia a formal verification protocol was developed with independent auditors. A company site is selected by the PACIA and the site is asked to nominate one of the auditors. Since 1995 some 104 self-assessments have been verified. A similar third-party certification process is currently being developed in the UK, and this became a mandatory requirement for CIA members at the end of 2000. [Pg.107]

J. Rissanen, Chair releases his "composite text" for verification protocol, in Disarmament Diplomacy, 55, London Acronym Institute, March 2001. See also the assessment given by G. S. Pearson, M. R. Dando and N. A. Sims, The Composite Protocol Text an Effective Strengthening of the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention, Evaluation Paper No.21 (Bradford University of Bradford, July 2001). [Pg.180]

To illustrate the impact of the containment plastic and the specialized cleaning and cleaning verification protocol that would be required by the 2006 Proposal, each activity was performed a minimum of four times ... [Pg.90]

The cleaning verification protocol in the final rule is similar to what was in the 2006 Proposal. By not requiring the surface... [Pg.202]

Some commenters were concerned that the cleaning verification protocols are too impractical, burdensome, or time-consuming for many contractors to perform. However, the Dust Study found that cleaning verification only took, on average, slightly less than 13 minutes for experiments where the proposed rule requirements were followed. EPA s Final Economic... [Pg.217]
