An everyday example illustrates the difference between state functions and path functions. The Daltons, who live in San Francisco, decide to visit relatives in Denver. They take different routes, as Figure shows. Mr. Dalton takes a train directly from San Francisco to Denver, but Ms. Dalton goes to Dallas for a business meeting and then flies from Dallas to Denver. The Daltons daughter drives to Los Angeles, where she catches a flight to Denver.

The SOP for General Laboratory Behavior provides training directives for students, supervisors and instructors, custodians, and maintenance workers. The two-part training requirement is an essential component of ensuring that these target groups receive the proper level of safety education. 

Chemical Warfare units were well represented in each component of the Army, yet less than half of these organizations received their unit training directly under CWS auspices. Without the implementation of these items, the maintenance program would be unable to.implement safety-related aspects of the restart criteria. INPO 85-001 requires the development of maintenance standards that define the maintenance department objectives, expected performance levels, responsibilities, and accountabilities. These standards, as well as department goals, need to be communicated to the maintenance personnel through training, direct observation, and guidance. 

As with aU types of freight, the shipping costs for resin distribution are variable, and depend on the mode of transport, the distance involved, and quantity of material being shipped. By far the most efficient means of transport is to fill a railcar at the supplier s point of origin, and then transport it via rail (train), directly to the manufacturing site where it will be molded into finished parts. Of course, this is not always possible. While it works for high-volume applications, it does not allow for customization or modification, and is not practical for specialized resins or small production runs.
