Toxicity precautions

TOXICITY, PRECAUTIONS, AND INTERACTIONS Abdominal discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, and drowsiness may occur shortly after taking praziquantel these direct effects are transient and dose-related. Indirect effects such as fever, pruritus, urticaria, rashes, arthralgia, and myalgia are noted occasionally and are related to parasite burden. In neurocysticer-cosis, inflammatory reactions to praziquantel may produce meningismus, seizures, mental changes, and CSF pleocytosis. These effects usually are delayed in onset, last 2-3 days, and respond to symptomatic therapy such as analgesics and anticonvulsants. [Pg.705]

Toxicology Nonhazardous low acute oral and skin penetration toxicity Precaution Incompat. virith cone, oxidizing or reducing agents since mixts. of these compds. with org. compds. could form a potentially explosive mixt. [Pg.833]

Containers must be correcdy labelled with name and analysis of the product. Material safety data sheets giving aU important properties such as boiling and melting points, miscibihty with water and other solvents, inflammable nature, toxicity, precautions to be taken for safe handling, and how to collect and make a spillage harmless (absorb in ash/washing by copious amounts of water). [Pg.29]
