HOW TO DETERMINE LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE FROM TOPOGRAPHIC MAPS... 

To determine the latitude and longitude of your facility you will need a topographic map from United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The rig selection will dictate the basic layout of the pad. Based on the necessary area needed to support its functions, ancillary equipment may be added in space conservative measures. In addition to the placement of various stationary rig site components, other operations such as logging, trucking and subsequent completion operations must be provided for. The most environmentally sensitive design will impact the least amount of area, and in that it will be the most economic. Potential pad sites and access routes should be laid out on a topographic map prior to the actual survey. At this time, construction costs can be estimated and compared. Figure 4484 shows such a layout. The cost of building a location includes the cost of reclamation such as any remediation. 

Each "tool" has a unique footprint or wear pattern that is a function of its diameter. This wear pattern is eonvolved with the topographic map of material to be removed to create the raster pattern with a dwell time at eaeh raster position. In some implementations, these dwell time methods work very well. A faetor of 10 improvement in surfaee figure is common for the ion beam and MRP methods but there are some definite issues as well.

As was noted above, STM images are often strongly dependent both on Fbias and on the type of feature being imaged at the surface. As a result, the image is often not a simple topographical map of the surface features. Consider, for example, a surface having an adsorbed atom with an excess of... 

The surfaces defined by (j> = constant, where is the scalar field, and resembling contour lines on a topographic map, may be called isotimic surfaces. In potential theory they are referred to as equipotentials in heat conduction they are isothermals, etc. They form a family of non-intersecting surfaces. The gradient of the scalar field measures the rapidity with which the field changes as a function of position. The most rapid change occurs along a family of lines normal to the isotimic surfaces.

A first-order estimate of the impacts of the flood scenario can be obtained through an evaluation of the flood depth map after it has been overlaid onto an electronic version of a standard topographic map that depicts roads, buildings, and public facilities. Such maps are useful for preparing evacuation plans and selecting locations for roadblocks. The FLDWAV output files may be consulted to determine the time characteristics of the flood, such as the time from the dam breach to the onset of flooding, and the duration of flooding. 

Generally, a normal NMR-spectrum has amplitude plotted Vs just one frequency-dimension (the ppm scale). In 2D-NMR, the amplitude is plotted Vs two frequency-dimensions (two ppm scales), normally in the form of a counter plot, just like a topographic map.

Probe microscopes are characterized by two common features. On the one hand, a sharp, tiny probe gets very close to the sample and feels the surface by monitoring some kind of interaction between the probe and the surface, which is very sensitive to distance. On the other hand, the sample is scanned in a raster fashion with near atomic accuracy, and the variation in the interaction is translated into a topographic map of the surface. 

On crystal faces bounding a polyhedral crystal, step patterns resembling the contour lines on a topographic map or striations in one direction are observable depending on the nature of the face. These show the process of crystal growth or dissolution at an atomic level, and are referred to as the surface morphology or surface microtopography.

To measure the site energy distribution or other surface properties of powders by measuring heats of immersion as a function of the amount of preadsorbed wetting liquid. Heats of immersion of the partly covered surfaces reveal the site energy distributions. For acid sites on cracking catalysts, for example, adsorbates of different basicity can be used to develop a topographical map of the surface activity. 

Topographic mapping of the EEG, also referred to as brain electrical activity mapping, involves the recording of cortical electrical activity in certain specified frequencies, which a computer then graphically visualizes in two-dimensional, color-coded maps. This procedure is chiefly used in psychopharmacological and neuropsychological research.
