Timed Injection

With timed injection, an electrical or pneumatic actuator is used to keep the inject position long enou for transferring the bulk of the sample to the column, but removing the tailing portion of the sample plug. The remainder in the loop must then be washed to waste before next injection. An internal standard is required for this technique. [Pg.52]
